does it need a fog for mot
cheers chris
Hi Chris, it does need a rear fog for the mot, it is supposed to be fitted on the o/s nearest the centre of the road, i have fitted sti lamps to my uk spec car and that didnt have any, i have converted one of my reverse lamps into a fog lamp with a multi led bright bulb. so you dont have a big square thing hanging underneath!! i can point you in the right direction if your wiring is the same, mine has 2 different plugs in the boot, one for uk spec and one for jap spec lamps. on the uk lamp plug there is a blue wire with yellow chaser and silver stripes, this is the one that was linked to the switch, however if yours is a jap import then you prob dont have a switch so as iain says take a positive from either the battery or fuse box, you will need an inline fuse fitted before the switch, then a live from switch to lamp and earth to ground.

Got some Samco bits from rallydesign.co.uk or raldes.co.uk, same place just can't remember the web address, they're in Faversham Kent, mail order tho.
Found it lol!!!
http://www.rallydesign.co.uk/index.php?man...p;filter_id=166
Was the cheapest I could find a year or so ago
cheers mate, still seem to be fairly reasonable!! thanks!

Ouch! You sound like you know what you're doing though so I'm sure she's in good hands!
Givus a shout if you want a thermos brought round or spanners passing, I'm in Witney too and wouldn't mind seeing how to get around the insides of a boxer engine!
cheers!! ouch indeed, stranded in Bampton at about midnight was the worst part! lol! engine stripped down now as far as needed, i am sending the block away tomorrow to have mains, rods etc put in by a chap over by bicester who does alot of rally stuff as he can get the parts cheaper than i can. so he may as well do it as im strapped for time! but when i get it back your more than welcome to come and have a look and a poke around!! lol!

It was the guy that has done all my mapping so far, Chris @ Linden specialist vehicles up in Wellingbourgh it cost me around £500-£600 including fitting and the initial map which is on par with the cost of an ecutek map.
Cheers Iain
cheers Iain will give them a call in the new year!
-
I would bet on full throttle runs that it would run lean though risking det, the scoob does run rich on boost anyway to help keep the piston temps down.
Look at a piggy back ecu like the dastek unichip, that is what i am running on my sti.
Cheers Iain
i would like it done as it would bring all the mods together! who did youget to install it and at what kind of money did it cost?
cheers steve
-
I like that mate, I love the white wheels
Would be nice to see it in the flesh. Out of interest mate, with all the engine mods you have done have you had your car mapped yet?
Cheers Iain
no i have not had it mapped as of yet, i had the fuelling checked etc after the cooler was fitted, its running perfect til 40% throttle and then after that the mixture starts to get a little richer. i am unsure where to take it to be mapped, have spoken to powerstation and owen developments and they talk stupid money, aparentley cant map the ecu in this one has to be a new plug and play unit, like apexi fc or something i guess! so am still considieing it!
