Thanks for the help guys. I've checked the oil, fluids and tyres so far - all seem to have been done. I'll check the air filter tomorrow. I notice the handbrake is much stiffer than before as well so perhaps it's just me being paranoid? Either that or the car has decided to start showing it's age the very second that the warranty ran out!

Just put my car in for it's 3 year / 36,000 mile service and got the 1st MOT done at the same time.

The problem is, the car does not feel like it has been serviced at all. After the first and second year services (performed by another garage) you could really tell the difference after the service but this time the car feels no different (ie sluggish - like it really needs a good service).

I have my suspicions that the garage just performed the MOT and not the service. Question is - how can I prove this if it is true? Please bare in mind that I am not particularly mechanically minded so is there a simple way to check?
