  1. That's my thoughts mate, better off sticking to what you know eh?
  2. Guys in the market for a new clutch, does anyone have any experience with these? Seen them online for a decent price. if so can you tell me if they're decent. The alternative is an exedy pink box organic. I had a 4 paddle on previous but didn't like the every day driving charateristics of it cheers Pav
  3. Thanks for that mate I'll be in touch
  4. Guys I need some work done on my car and wondering who you recommend in and around the Lothians. I have previously used Hypertec and Extreme Motorsport. But as the car is undrivable, wherever I go I'll have to arrange to get the car there. So if someone was closer this would be ideal. I need new clutch and flywheel, and hopefully get the timing belt done at the same time. I have heard of a place in the Bush Estate near penicuik. Does anyone have any experience of them? cheers Pav
  5. Perfect buddy, papers are a joke cheers
  6. Due home from offshore on Wednesday and I'll need fuel for getting home, how are the Shell stations looking around the airport, have they dried up yet? I will use Tesco super at a push, where is the nearest to Dyce Cheers
  7. as above, I need to get my PFF7's refurbed anybody recommend anyone? cheers
  8. My clutch gave up the ghost on the way up to Crail this morning, what do you recommend as a replacement? The car is an 04 STI and should I replace the flywheel at the same time? Cheers
  9. Andrew Gallachers Focus Now that can shift, Was at KH for the super saloons at the start of April. He finished building the car at 5a.m on the Sunday morning, broke the lap record in the sunday afternoon...nutter
  10. midnight, where are you from? I'm in Dalkeith, seen your car out and about a few times. I'v got a wr1, I'm sure I seen you at Dreghorn services!
  11. thanks for the replies guys, got somewhere sorted!
  12. alright folks, I live in Edinburgh and the car is due 30k service and MOT end of May. Who do you guys recommend? Don't mind travelling for decent service, don't want to use the dealer, due to over inflated prices and some young apprentice doing the work anyway!! Have used Extreme in Whitburn a couple of times for oil changes etc. where do you lot go? cheers
  13. Thanks stocksy, i'm offshore just now, i'll give it a bash when i'm home. will let you know how I get on cheers
  14. Cheers Gus I know you're the de-tango'in expert
  15. Attempted a DIY de-tango on my blobeye last week, removed the front grill as advised, got all the relevant screws out, then I tried to remove the headlight, got a little movement but I was a bit nervous about giving it a good pull incase I broke anything. Is there a technique to getting them out? Maybe a certain direction to pull them? I read somewhere that it's a good idea to get to the light through the foglight hole, but the car has the PIAA drivers lamps and I don't fancy removing them Cheers Pav
