Well, ive just driven 20 miles from Reading to Oxon to work and it was a bit scary in places but the Oxon roads are definitely in a better condition. Billy put his car into a tree because of the ice - but im pleased to say he is alright, and car damage is not structural, just cosmetic. Be careful out there everyone. K

It just does my head in - we had exactly the same situation back last January and February in Berkshire/Oxon areas, and i can remember the dribblers from county hall and the highways dept saying how they would ensure this did not happen again My usually calm and placid demeanour has apparently legged it I am going to take a few deep breaths and make some Camomile tea now

West Berkshire District Council have announced that due to dwindling reserves of rock salt they will be conserving what they have and will only be treating the Motorway and major A roads this week - Heavy snow forcast for tonight/tomorrow ... Happy new year

I finally got to go have my play yesterday afternoon Wicked fun

I had to leave my car and walk the last few miles home last night, not because the car wouldnt make it but because so many other people had abandoned their cars that the road i needed to get down was blocked! Still a few of the cars there just now when i went back for mine... the roads are still treacherous this morning, no gritters out yet... Still, at least its pretty Take care everyone
