i had the same problem with the skoda dealer here in inverness. my car was displaying a fault they lied to me and my wife saying they couldn't find anything. on two occasions the car had gone into limp mode they never read the ECU after i asked them to. i knew this as they have to indicate it on the invoices also we couldn't have a courtesy car because we never purchased our car from them! i would never buy a car from them. i contacted skoda customer service and went to the aberdeen franchised dealer they were ultra helpful courteous and friendly. it was 100 miles there and back worth it though. the service manager in skoda dealer in inverness is a total di#k!

Alan i've read your post and i am in agreement with you, the car is to expensive. there is a 98 sti wagon on autotrader private sale for 6195. i don't think the car is worth 7250. the maximum i think is 6400 and thats with generosity muchness too. if you a desperate for a car the advantage is with the seller. be patient, imprezas are not selling well just now in my opinion. i trawl the web daily looking at car prices and many of the cars i watch are coming down in price. was it you who i told about the scoobybits sti wagon? you replied saying there was a deposit taken for it. i looked yesterday and there was no indication that there was someone in for it. i've an sti wagon, its getting on needs a few things doing on it but its an excellent car. all the best let everyone know what you do?

i thought about it but bought a heap instead. i got rid of that and got me wagon. what i do know about it its been for sale for at least 4 months on pistonheads. bad spoiler!!!!

Sean i nearly bought a car from Keighley but the way they talked to me on the phone put me off. give them a bell and ask a few questions about the car make your own mind up. try www.carplanetltd.co.uk in warrington. there is also an auction for imported cars every wednesday in liverpool. i've never been so don't know what the cars are like. batter car importers into a search engine see what results come out. i have bought the odd duff motor in the past and paid dear. don't let your heart rule your head. Do a HPI get an engineer to look at the car. take it for a serious test drive too.
