Re uprated struts, I heard that these haven't actually been uprated but that the strut tops were. Problem is, they still fail, in 6 months flat. Also, isn't there some sort of get-out in all of these insurance style warranties, in that design flaws are excluded, and the struts look like they fall into that category. Especially when folks consider buying insurance to cover an expected loss..... And surely it shouldn't cost £800 to replace duff shocks with "soon to be duff" shocks? Finally I have been told that any parts replaced under the new car warranty don't have a separate parts warranty but are warranted only until the new car warranty runs out, even if that is in 24 hours time.
