About DEAS81

  1. Thanks for the advice, given me some avenues to explore, cheers Ian
  2. Thanks for that, I'll look into it. Had a quick look on ebay and u can get the autoleads adaptors for about a tenner which seems good. Saw some 3 way Kenwoods which looked pretty good. They were 5.25", does that sound about right? Is there much room between the front of the speaker and the door card, all looks a bit close.[:S]
  3. Evening everyone. Just a quickie really. Does anyone know of a good upgrade to the front speakers on a 2003 car? Im looking to spend around £50 tops. Also does anyone know what size the speakers are and if adaptors will be needed to fit the new ones? Thanks. Ian.
  4. Hey everybody. Does anyone know where I could get hold a set of STI front spliters.(the corner bits to the outside of where the foglights go). Have tried ebay but the only results are some aftermarket spoiler that fits to the spliters. Have tried Scooby world and they don't list them. Is it going to be a main dealer only thing? Any help? Ian
  5. I had mine done last week at Mocom racing in Harlow, stressfull day that I won't go into, but the result was well worth it. Cars now running at 250bhp and 255lb/ft. Not a massive increase but the responce is so much better! Do you know what yours is running? Deas
  6. The pulleys look good, do they offer any noticeable performance benefits? Im guessing they are lighter, do they help the engine spin up any quicker?
  7. Sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday. The set I've got will fit the threads but don't fit my WRX wheels. Don't know if yours are different.
  8. Demon Tweeks sell them aswell but they are the same price so I doubt you'll get them much cheaper. Ford use them as standard equipment, can recommend them as they'll take a lot of abuse before they'll let you get the wheels off, that comes from experience, don't lose the locking key! Im sure I've got a set at work, but Im not sure if they'll fit Subaru wheels. I'll check tomorrow and let you know. Deas
  9. Yeah I thought so, glad someone else agrees.
  10. Hey everyone, I had to service an 04 STI yesterday, when looking through the service book the schedule said for turbo charged cars and H6 cars. The customer later asked me what an H6 was. I said I wasn't sure, but thought it may be a reference to the 'flat 6' Legacy. Can anybody shed any light?

    Hello

Welcome mate, Im new here too. Car looks great, does need wheels as you said. The spoiler and lights really give it some edge. You may want to lower it aswell, this sorted the handling on my WRX right out. Spax springs are well worth a look and if you can get hold of the Prodrive settings this helps get rid of the power understeer. Good effort though. Deas.
  12. Really gutted for you mate, really sucks. Had my car keyed once, felts like a massive kick in the balls! Don't suppose it will polish out either?
  13. Yeah go for it, you'll regret it if you don't.
  14. Just finished doing my wheels and brakes. I reckon the car looks much better. Loads more attitude!
  15. Very nice, bet it puts a few smiles on your face(when its working). You'll have to give me a run out when its ready.
