  2. You can get a cell fix from ebay for £10, its an extending piece that goes between lamba sensor and the exhaust. As for your cell light anyone with an hand held fault code reader/resetter can do it, loonybin in Kent does ours.

    Thanks ;)

Found someone to sort/check it for £30 :rotfl:

  3. I've recently had a decat downpipe fitted and unfortunately the little orange check engine light has come on (i think that's what it's called). I'm hopefully gonna get a remap fairly soon but it'll be 2-3 months off as I've just moved house and haven't got a spare £600 lying about at the moment

I've been told I can get a fix that turns it off for around £75 but don't really want to spend money on that if I'm going to get a remap soon after.

My question is, if I leave it will the car be okay or do I neet to get the fix done so the car doesn't put itself into safe mode :D

Any help/ advise anyone can give would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Karl

  4. I love the new site for reasons already mentioned above.

The SIDC site was getting to a point where there may not be a new post for 2-3 days. On the new site there doesn't seem to be more than 2-3 hours without a post. Which is pretty increadible considering how many members there are.

The way I see it is there seems to be a lot of effort been put into promoting the club by freshening it up and trying new things such as the forum and clothing/ merchandise by the 2 Andy's and Bob. Evidence of this can be seen in the monthly meets. I've been a member of CADS since June and didn't manage to get to my 1st monthy meet till September  - because there weren't any due to lack of interest/ numbers! Meet numbers are looking a lot more healthy now. (maybe coinsidence)

In addition, it may be the setup I have here at home, (2.6Ghz PC with 0.5Mbps broadband) but the SIDC site runs very slow on my computer compared to the new CADS site.

Saying that, I don't really see how the two forums can run in parallel but see no reason why CADS can't be affiliated with the SIDC and the promotion of it.

I'll get off my soapbox now

Keep up the good work fellas

  5. Thought I'd try and put a CADS Calendar together for the December meet but I need some good pics of CADS cars

Can you please email me your pics of your pride and Joys as soon as you get chance to:-

    Cheers

  6. Barb & I have had an offer accepted on a little canal side cottage in preston-on-the-hill near frodsham/ runcorn. It'll mean a 30 mile round trip to work each day, and the house is in need of some modernisation which unfortunately means I can't reall justify keeping the scoob <_<

For anyone tht's interested, it's in the for sale section................

    http://forums.sidc.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=108050&st=0

Haven't really decided what we're going to do in terms of a replacement yet. Might mean goodbye to scooby ownership completely but may get an every day runner and a weekend scoob

  7. Had scratches & scrapes on my blobeye wrx on front bumper, near side wing, near side wing mirror, rear bumper. All cost £400 have repaired and resprayed at a body shop in l'pool if it helps.

As above, get a price from an independant bodyshop

  8. 2 months after the last break in and 2 weeks after Barb having her purse stolen, her car got broken into again on Tuesday night at 1:00am

As soon as I heard the alarm I bolted downstairs to find the same door had been bent back and the wires on the steering column ripped out again. Despite getting to the car within about 30secs of the alarm going off there was no sign of anyone in the street

Think we're gonna scrap her car now & just use mine. - Looking at buying a house away from Liverpool too. Had enough! :)
