Those wide arches really float my boat but just out of curiosity how is the inner arch finished

I had a look yesterday it's a blobeye for sure

town & county have a 54 plate sti for sale their website and the pistonheads ad say it's 2.5, is this a mistake or did subaru put that engine in some later blobeyes?
