  1. I forgot to say that a lot of people have looked at this as a ten minute job, but as of yet they have all come out scratching their heads...
  2. Hi guys, I have a restrictor in my filler from the SVA testing...... It is really annoying as there is already one in there from Subaru, so I have a restrictor in a restrictor...... Both the SVA centre and the dealer are over the other side of the country, and I really want to avoid trekking there if I can. Now, all it is, is three grub screws.....BUT, you cannot get an allen key in there (and give enough purchase) to get one of them to give. Anyone got any ideas or can recommend someone locally to help? Cheers, Mark
  3. In all honesty, I would wait and see what they come up with, with the new S-GT or STI. When I was last at Powerstation and was picking Curtis's brains about the Type 25 Race car that was there in bits, he said that they were not doing any more track work as the guys preferred 'rallying'. He said they were waiting for the new car to come in to start development on that......

Hopefully mate....due to go to Norway on Thursday though....might slip back if I am lucky.....already missed a few meets due to work [] Not been out in it, but have both the Type 25 handling kit and Porche brakes on mine...we have been pushing Iain for a while for a Type 25 Forester.....but I doubt there is a market for it[]
  5. Your joking arent you. Iain is one of the longest running importers, probably second only to David Hendry Cars, who incidentally use Iains model reports to get their own cars through the EVSA. They have a very good track record, especially with their link with Powerstation (next door) and winning the time attack series last year as a test for their new production Type 25. A friend had an original Type 25 which he binned for a Forester STI [H], then binned that for a Spec C RA. When I asked him which was best he said the Spec C RA, but has now binned that for another Forester STI. The new Type 25 is an excellent car....would I pay 40k for it, probably not no. But the Cosworth engine complete is 12k.....so it is easy to see where a large chunk of money has gone. The Porsche brakes are an option though......are they worth it....yes, definately! [Y] The only issue's I have with Litchfields/Powerstation is their insistance to use Milltek and other partners that they have forged relationships with. Maybe I dont want a ceramic coated Milltek, but an H&S......

  7. Jolly Green Monster (Maidstone) Mocom Racing (North Wields) Both come highly recommended. JGM has been mapping a few MD321T's lately, which has raised his profile somewhat. Both use EcuEdit instead of EcuTek, so if you want to, you could download the image and have a poke around......if you were that way inclined....[] Oh and they will both be around the 450 price..... There are a lot of conditions that have to be in place...like someone has mentioned, calibration of gun, training of officer to use gun, correct number of officers and so on..... But if you were doing it, then accept it and take the points..... 45 in a 30.....hmmm

  10. As per my JDM 'Vehicle Maintenance Plan' : Do not use synthetic oil until at least 12,000 miles. We recommend 10w40 semi synthetic until that mileage.
  11. As some of you know [Y] these are coming off next week. As I understand it they are exactly the same as on an Impreza STI. They will fit under a 17" alloy, as long as its a flat faced type (like an STI wheel), or use spacers to clear the calipers. http://www.priracing.com/product.php?xProd...1014a378faf3059 Been told by numerous people that I should be looking at £500...... there are a couple on Scoobynet at the moment for more than this, in one case this price just for the calipers [] Anyway, they will be off the car in a week, so anyone is welcome to look at them, measure them up etc... No they don’t, they use magnatec as well, or at least they did in January, which was the last time I was there for my 1000 miles service ......unless you mean Phil at Motorsport...not sure what they used there....<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am on Motul 10w40, which I changed out at 500 miles. My warranty explicitly states that I am not supposed to go fully synthetic until 10,000 miles (or thereabouts, will have to check) [*-)] ..... so I just ignored that. A lot of ESC go to Mocom Racing (as I do) and they are all running Motul. Sumo Power in Sheerness also stock/use Motul... HTH....... Mark

  21. I'm led to believe that the FSTi scoop is in fact a bug eye OEM scoop, so that leaves me little option for a 'dustbin lid size' scoop other than one of the third party GRP ones.... Would still like to see a photo of someones else's so I can get a measure on this depth issue... Cheers, Mark
