Cheers for replying. Is it an expensive fix?
-
I've got an STI V4 and yesterday I had probs re-starting the car after I had stopped to go to the shop (I had been driving for 20 mins). After about 5-6 attempts the car started. Its not the fuel pump as it has been changed recently and I can hear it start when I turn on the ignition. The car always starts first time every time when it is cold but thats twice (in 4 months) that it has failed to start when I've stopped. I'm gonna be selling the car soon and want to make sure theres no probs before I do so. Anybody got any ideas? Cheers Barry

Hi Graeme. I stay Deanpark. Where you at? Prob seen your scooby about! -
My CD player in my car chucked it today, just spits the cd back out. The stereo is a double din with tape, single cd and radio. Is it as straight forward enough just to fit a uk stereo? Cheers

Alloys Refurb'd Chameleon- Before And After Pics
B9RY C replied to B9RY C's topic in Scottish Scoobies
bought the car recently with the wheels like that. heard a lot of stories about jap import speedlines having the same prob. -
Needing to get new front discs and pads. Not looking to spend crazy prices but not cheap, middle of the road. The car is an import V3 STI (97) and by looking at the service history it has 4-pot front callipers. Any advice/recommendations? Cheers

Me to! Could someone please do me the honours to! Thanks B9RY C MY97 V3 STI -
Cheers guys. Bought the Walbro pump from Indigo GT for £65.

Been advised to change my fuel pump (V3 STI) as a safety precaution. Been told a Walbro 255 pump is a good replacement and i have sourced one from ebay for £75. Is this a good pump and if so is this a good price? Cheers

Alloys Refurb'd Chameleon- Before And After Pics
B9RY C replied to B9RY C's topic in Scottish Scoobies
Got the 4 alloys done for £180. That was me dropping the car off at 9am and then picking it up at 5pm. That cost an extra £40 for the same day service, suited me (less hassle). -
Big thanks to the guys at Chamleon. They made a great job of my alloys and would highly recommend! Ignore the sh*t tyres, next on my list!

Car info: Silver jap import R-Plate WRX STI (R Plate) 44k miles Cat back stainless exhaust (Mer cat- i think) Car is clean and is in good condition. The person selling it is a friend of a friend so i know it hasn't been abused. The car has no service history and the alloy wheels could do with a refurb. He's looking for £5500. Any thoughts??? I dont have any pics. Cheers

Sounds good Gav. If you get anymore info- mileage, service history, etc let me know. If you hear of any standard STI's with low mileage and well looked after please let me know. I take it you work for a Subaru garage? Thanks Barry

Any chance you could PM me the thread. Thanks

That would be perfect but think i'll find it hard to find a good one in my budget.

I've spotted a possible new car and was looking for advice on a rough guide price. The link to the car is below: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...p;rd=1&rd=1 I've been chat'n to the guy and the car seems well looked after. It has a tow bar fitted but it has only towed a single motorbike trailer for 80 miles. Checked 'What Car' and 'Parker's' and they advise £11445 to £12520. The guy seems fixed on £13k because its an untampered well looked after car. What do you's think? Thanks
-
Thanks for all the advice with this car but think i'm gonna keep on searching for my dream scooby, just too many questions and hassles with this one. Cheers again lads
-
Cheers for the advice mate. The guy is looking for £12600 for it, is that a fair price?. About the insurance thing I only told them about the exhaust I never mentioned the dump vale, splitter or gauges. Do I need to tell them about them, as they are not big modifications? Thanks again mate, total novice with all this. Cheers Barry

Thanks everybody for the advice. Turns out that the car is a euro-import and is registered in Apr 04. Don't know what to do! Insurance would go up £300 a year, but the car is mint! The links bellow prove this: Thanks again.
-
Not sure what month the car is registered, possibly late 04 as it has a black STI interior?. From the picutures the car doesn't look like it has rear arch extentions. Thanks for getting back.

Hey Guys, As you will probably guess i'm new to the SIDC. I'm looking into buying a blob-eye STI but i'm having trouble translating some of the patter. I was looking at a for sale forum, on SIDC, down south and the conversion went like: 'I'm confused about this car, is it a MY04 WRX STi Type UK. It's just that in the UK the first version to get the DCCD was the MY05, but in your pictures the one of the drivers binicle looks like you have DCCD?' What does DCCD and driver binicle mean? This may seem fairly obvious to you wise impreza drivers but hey i'm new! Can anybody help. Thanks Barry
