It really annoys me aswell.. Some people can feel so threatened by other drivers following them so closely it can cause there driving to become eratic and dangerous themselves.. However intimadatin a female with her child in the car is beyond the limit. I feel as many the fog light and brake light trick works - just depending on the driver behinds mentality - this may make them worse.. Lol may be abit boy racerish etc but has anyone ever considered fitting a flamer kit for times like these ?? Lol im sure that would make them back off abit huh !! [] haha.. Andy

Hey Guys... Just to say if its anyones car on here I am willing to give a tow or help. The car is a Impreza P1 with private plate P** D*S - Ive noticed its sat in a very local layby for over 5 days now day and night without moving. Im abit worried for the owner as the place it is parked is a daily path for druken nightclub walkers.. The car has some very expensive modifications and is in imaculate condition. I know how sought after an Impreza P1 is and this is just giving car thiefs such an easy target. I have a garage very close buy if you wish to keep it safe.. Andy

Hey Guys. Basically looking to buy a good induction system after fitting a FMIC.. What ones would people suggest ?? Aps ? Apexi ?? etc etc.. I like the look of the APS one however is the hole in the wing where it sits, is this taken up by the FMIC piping ?? Thanks for all your help.. Andy

Cool.. Well the Kukamei ones on flatfour claim to be the dogs, say they just same as the GT Spec II.. Its abit of a hard decition with so many choices.. What is the difference in power gains between equal and unequel ?? I no there is a substantial change in noise etc.. I would prefer to keep the burble.. Anyone have an idea for a good downpipe ?? Hey guys... I curently own a MY99 Uk PPP - Ive got Blitz Nur Spec R cat back and was wondering if anyone could recomend a good downpipe that would give best performance ?? Also lookin at headers but there so many different ones out there and struggling to decide.. Anyone any ideas what to go for ??? GT Spec II ???... I noticed flat4 do a cheaper alternative that claim to be the exact same as the GT Spec without the name - Kakumei make them im sure.. Are there any other good makers - I noticed DC Sports make them aswell.. Greddy Etc.. Just another quick question, sometimes my car seems to back off underpower in higher gears, like 4th and 5th - sorta gets acelaration then kinda nothing for few seconds then acelarates again... Its a weird feeling.. Possible coil packs ?? MAF ??? How much these cost to replace ??? Cheers For All Your Help... Andy

Hey Guys / Gals... I just ordered a new box from quite a well known company... My Uk box code was TY754VN1AA.. However they sent me a box with code TY754VN2AA - I gave them a call and they said they knw that they sent me this box as it is out of a 2001 WRX and everything is the same - ratio's - fitment.. Can anyone back this up ?? Thanks alot for your help.. Andy

Thanks for all your help.. Will get the box off asap and get it checked out... As for backing off problems if my car doesnt have coil packs which are known for causing problems does anyone have any other idea to what it may be ??? Your help is greatly appreciated - Andy

Thanx for your help guys... Yeah its a MY99 PPP - I got on the fone to a transmission specialist today and they quoted me £40 to find the problem.. Re-conned box gonna be around £600 so I will get the place to have an inspection and see what they find.. Its gonna be a hit or a miss, either its a cheap fix and its £600 saved or an expensive fix and £40 loss.. lol.. Will keep forum updated of how I get on.. As for backing off I think it may be the coil packs.. How much roughly am I looking at to replace these ?? Also its still the original subaru leads from 1999 I think so may be worth a while replacing those aswell, I may be wrong abut the age of the leads im just going on a mechanics opinion.. Hey Guys... Recently experienced some gearbox problems, well diff problems I think.. When im turning sharp the prop is snagging and causing the back wheels to skip.. I got it checked out and it seems the problem is cuming from the diff in the box.. Making the prop shaft snag to the rear wheels.. All gears are fine and drives fine other wise.. Ive been pricing up boxes and they aint cheap to say the least. Do you think a reconditioner would be able to sort out the problem ?? Sort the diff out.. Or would you just recomend a new box ??? Also car seems to be backing off - (sumtimes) when under boost.. about 5,000rpm but only in higher gears like 4th and 5th... it puls then kinda nothing, then goes agian then kinda nothing lol.. feels like the boost is cuttin out.. really confused.. Could it be a fuelling problem ?? dusnt do it in 1st, 2nd or 3rd gear... CONFUSED lol.. Thanks alot for your help - Andy

Does anyone know a well trusted good fitting manufacturer of bonnets - boot lids and spoilers ?? Also mirrors may be an option.. I just dont wanna buy some cheap thing off a random site for it to be poor grade and fit etc.. Your help is greatly appreciated.. Andy

Hear alot of good reports with the NGK plugs.. Car basically standard apart from Green Panel Filter - Walbro Fuel Pump - H&S Center Section And Forge D/V.. Plus PPP factory fitted parts, Ecu, Exhaust etc... Looked on a few threads and seen discusions about the PF6's and 7's - Tad Confused - What would suit my car best ?? Thnx For the Reply M8... Yeah I saw a few Subaru owners but was abit shy to cum and have a bull shit. - White Sti and a few silver ones on the track were very impressive. Was well suprised with the power of another MY99 Impreza there, silver running 12s. Just goes to show how quik Subarus can be made. Must of had a few pennies spent on it. Offshore at the mo untill 30th then back home to pay the bill for a full service hahaha - new discs and pads allround - NGK Plugs - Magnicore leads - Oil change - Coolant - Box Oil - Diff Oil - Fuel Filter - Brakes bled and ABS serviced - 4 wheel laser alignment - should run more freely.. Would I not be better just going for a FMIC or TMIC favoured ??? Cheers - Andy

Hi Guys... My name is Andy and from Smokey Town (arbroath).. Just recently bought my first Subaru after many other Jap Cars - The car I bought is Rs Grants old White MY99 PPP - Over the moon with cars handling - power and most of all that Flat Four Thump !!!! Have had a few Jap turbo cars and the Subaru is the most refined by far - Just to appologise myself for those who were dissapointed with the way I was driving the car at Crail last sunday as was mentioned in the post for selling the car I now own.. In the post it explains the logic behind the rough treatment etc. Its just the way I am, the pulsar was launched the same. I appreciate peoples concern about the way I was launching etc however this is just the way I have always been because of my "If It Breaks Uprate It Attitude" - The pulsar was used in the exact same fasion except I had a £1300 Os Giken Clutch fitted. I was hoping if I was ever invited to a meet etc mayb some of you with alot more knowledge and confidence in the way your Subaru operates could give me sum tips etc.This Is the first members club I have ever joined and would really like to be a part of your community. I am very keen on modifying this car to have useable and reliable power above standard - I currently have the Prodrive zorst with a H&S Center Section - However I was looking into changing this. What are you guys opinions on the Blitz Nur Spec System ?? Also would it be possible for yourselves to advise me on what first mods I should make to my car to improve performance...
