-
would be interested in osf wing and bonnet dnt need vents cheers
hi mate the wings have been asked for both of them sorry but the bonnet is still here you can have the full things saves me from having bits left over got a garage full off bits
-
Still money in that.
Rear spoiler and bootlid, hubs, drive shafts, steering wheel, bonnet, wings, doors.
If the wings look as tidy in the flesh as they do in the picture I may be interested in them if you want to whip them off before you send it to the breaker. Just PM me a price and condition.
the wings have been asked for last nite so will be going to take them off today bud sorry

big ends went on it and cant really see fit to spend another £1000/£1500 on it with only having it a month and hardly getting to use it as it was waiting to go into get a remap
-
Ah well thats my car shell ready to head to the breakers just got to take the doors, bonnet and boot then it will be away

The first thing I would be doing is looking for a boost leak and cleaning out the boost solenoid. Check all the little vac hoses running between the boost solenoid, inlet manifold and turbo. Look for degradation and cracking. Then give the boost solenoid a good cleanout with brake/clutch cleaner. I'd be doing this first as its cheaper than instantly replacing a MAF that may or may not solve the problem.
Are there any other reasons to the above that you think that it may be MAF related?
As far as i'm aware, a fuel pump change doesnt require a map tweak as its generally only changed to ensure a reliable fuel source in case remapping for other mods. Its more of an insurance/reliability issue really as flow is controlled by injector size and fuel pressure regulator. All my thinking - i'm no expert.
i plugged in the black wires under the dash and it brung up code 23 2 long flash and 3 short flash's of the engine check light and with the codes i found online its coming up with the MAF
-
did a bit of checking online and it seem to be the MAF so now looking for a new one but its proving hard as there all green or orange label and not purple that is on my car

evening folks
i need a little advice on my98 uk turbo
ok here goes, i got an uprated furl pump yesterday and fitted it and all was fine filled it up with some v-power last nite all was running good,
then i had to take it out today all was fine till about 1pm had been out since 11am, then outta no where it has a loss of power and boost dropped from 12/14 psi down to think its hitting 6/8psi now
and not sure what is wrong with the car but the loss of power im just not sure what to do as dont really wanna try drive it over to a garage as there all miles away from and most of them i have hills to go up and i dont know if the car will make it there or not
cheers jonny

where abouts is this mate as looking for a few bits myself

I agree with FAI17. Quoting 347 on std heads was misleading after playsatan was offering figure estimates for a VF28 on std heads.
To the OP, my RA engine which came from a P1 running a VF28, std 440 injectors and sti 6 TMIC and exhaust was running 312hp. As playsatan was eluding to, the non-sti heads could be the limiting factor on achieving more than 320ish on your setup.
Is there a specific reason you are going FMIC? If I were you, I would be looking for a more efficient TMIC than the std one. The STI 6 or later will not hinder your figures running a VF28 but will give much better turbo response. I ran a FMIC and 18G for a while and found the lag too much, to the point where I ditched both infavour of a VF35 and STI 8 TMIC, its like night and day.
Just sharing my findings and opinions.
cheers for the insite mate im only running FMIC as it was fitted to the car when i got it no other reason till the mod's get to the stage were i fully need it

Following on from the other topic whats your best driving racing film
mine would be between Vanishing Point and American Graffiti

My vote is for, Fast and the furious. For no other reason than the scene where the computer screen in Paul Walkers car flashes up "danger to manifold" then the floor falls away from the car
not just that but a few mins later when he goes to help dom the floor is back in place and all is well
