  1. Well peeps how are you all, I have been working too much this year to appreciate WL, she not getting the deserved driving time she needs well straight to the Point as it says above WL it's time to go I'm afraid , looking at buying something Newer and a different Grill badge, been in the Subaru scene a long time now and have achieved everything I want well nearly.. best experience I've had driving the Suby was been selected for TOTB that was my final tick in the Box, would of loved to get that 10 sec 1/4 mile just not had the time this year with Holidays and time on my Bikes..

WL has been in Magazines, shows the list goes on its well know in the Subaru community.... the folk on this forum has been top notch and I thank you for the fun times and the sad times, sitting at the side of the road, cause a hose has blown off lol grrr .. all good character building of heavy modding..and no tool as too much weight..lessons learnt

WL is in the garage getting a full inspection replacing any components that needs replaced, most of the cosmetic stuff will be powder coated or repainted to bring up to its high standard again and any hoses looking not up to my standard will be replaced with new ones also the gear box is out to put my new gear box cradle from Steven Darley powder coated apple red very nice ... the gear box will be inspected before it goes back in the car will come with a new MOT and 6 months tax.

I will be looking to either take cash or Swap this money or car will be used as for a deposit for my new machine.... look out for the sale post this car has had no expense spared the best of Parts and will make you smile I can guarantee that once you start her up... If interested PM me happy and safe driving to all :)..

    Best

    Chris

  2. Well its that time of the year, I'm back over in the sand pit once again tempertures of 53 recorded yesterday so a tad hot, WL was needinng a wee spruce up. As I have put the R1 (Motorbike) in to get many shiny new parts so felt that WL was being left out she is in getting new head studs, the 11mm are just not keeping the heads down so can run a bit more than 2 bar was struggling to keep heads from lifting at 1.95 bar...and for the mnods just not good enough...this is a massive factor for me again, wish I had done it right the first time however never ever thought I would be running 600+ so if you are a serious modder deffo recommend this mod :)

Also changing the pistons for nice new shinny ones, and what ever SW recommends its only what she deserves lol..

Whilt the engines out may as well get most of parts new shinny coats of paint and a few new hoses... will update...soon..

    Chris

  4. That's not the best Chris but at least the car is useable! It's the usual catch 22 situation you need to work to have the nice toys!

Hope to see it up crail this year doing a 10!!

    Neil

Indeed Neil may have to buy myself another bike when I come in April Ha ha hope to catch up soon a 10 would be nice the car is more than capable of a 10

  5. It's not so bad. At least you have a running car.

You still going to change the ecu?

Will see you when you get back and hopefully should be able to give you a race or 2 at crail mate.

Looking forward to this year once I get her running.

Fair Point Peter a good plan always goes to fail, I was a bit peed off last night I'm ok now yes look forward to some fun mate hope your car is back on the road soon ... If i can get the ECU changed the month when I'm off Yes deffo changing that..

  6. Well folks have decided to put a hold on the mods, just found out I will miss TOTB this year and many other events so not too happy due to a work shift change, disappointed to say the least, thanks work hate this job sometimes, just cant justify to spend 7 G to sit for another year. WL has not turned a wheel in 5 months or more so I tend to get some fun out her when I come home this April in between a holiday ....

So will just need to be happy with the 641bhp and 600lbsft Torque for the time being.. Until next year i guess I will hold my breath.

    Chris

  7. The engine pics look great, I would recommend if your using it for track here's a wee check list I use I'm sure folk can add what i miss..in no particular order just off the top of my head.

    1. Check all fluid levels.

    2. Check Tyre Pressure and a decent set of tyres, Tyre pressure gauge when at the track.

    3. Check Brake pads and disks.

    4. Bring spare oil with you.

    5. Bring plenty of fuel lol.

    6. Bring your own helmet if you have one you can normally hire these at most tracks I'm not keen in putting my suede in some ones eles sweaty helmet.

    7. Bring a pack lunch as its day light robbery at some track's for food.

    8. leave the wife you will enjoy it more ha ha

    9. Ensure you have a fire extinguisher handy and tied down.

    10. Empty your boot and inside the interior you don't want any flying object's in the car when driving at speed and cornering.. I smashed my take that CD lol

    11. Ensure you have a few warm up laps get to know the track and learn what gear and braking distanceyou need to be for cornering and hairpins again some tracks have cones for breaking distance.. a must.

    12. Ensure you learn the rules of the track especially for overtaking which I forgot about, as was too exited and got flagged my first track session got carried away..and stopped the session ooops..

    13. I would only run the car hard 3 laps maximum then come off that's what I do.

    14. When in the pit check all fluid levels open bonnett and air the engine and try and stop smileing i bet you cant..

    15. Check tyre pressure tyres should be warmer, increase or decrease air if needed tyres may be too soft or too hard.

Just a few tip hope this helps and the track tuition is worth the money I have done it a few times. And enjoyed it everytime.

    Go and enjoy your self..

  8. Well you sound a happy customer Jeff well done to the engine builder and tuner, you will get some demons when building powered cars just the nature of the beast hopefully everything is a simple fix.. great wee write up also sounded a buzz driving up the road to gods country, glad its all turned out well for you, I would say get use to driving 400+ horses and hopefully see you about.. :Scottish-flag:

  9. Hey Chris, Long time no see. Good luck with the next round of mods. Look forward to pulling bits off the car again at TOTB in future years LOL.

RB268 - I assume you are the guy we mwt at KH last weekend when the engine let go right at the end of the day??

We spoke as it was going on the trailer.

Hope you got to the bottom of the failure?

    Cheers

    Duncan

Hey Duncan long time no hear indeed, I will probs need your handy skills this 2012 for TOTB ha ha hope your well my friend ?? Car will be alot stronger with the proper gearing and set up as in all honesty the car wasn't that well for TOTB 2010, it will be alive this time and hoping for alot better PB this year..
