HKS SSQV bov wont work :(

Got this bov off a guy on the net and claimed he didnt use it for a good 4month. Thinking he was a genuine character and it was just un-used I payed 140Quid for it.

 it wont work! , hooked it up. Blocked the return air thingy with a bung and put the vacum pipe on it. Not a peep out it!

Iv got a my97 1998 classic, And the mates got the bugeye 2001 and it dosnt work on both cars.

 Any words of wisdom is appreciated !

Check that the ajustment screw is not to tight, think its a 10mm. This happend with my old hks mate

i have one and the screw is pretty far out and makes a right noise on the type r although the car seems to hesitate with a little stutter now so not sure if its actually slowing the car down!

the noise makes up for it though []
