Thanks to all who turned up. I had been checking out the weather forecast all week even trying to find a more favourable website that would tell me Crail was sunny.

Hat's off to the Subarus as soon as the track has any moisture on it the VW's are buggered.

Even the guy with the MK1 rocco ended up on the trailer he had 4wd.

Right thanks for the use of the forum I'm away to eat some humble pie.

my 2 fav scoobs on the day were  a steal grey type uk [Y] (parked up on the grass)  some1 on hear but dont know who. and an sti wagon that was giving it some down the strip mmmmmm would love 1[][Y]...and loades off other vnice loking cars

was a good day out, just a little cold but it is scotland and more so crail..........

as for the cars there some top cars would have been good to c andy f there and also the dub golf with the 2 v6 engines in it.

Had a good day. Good to meet some folk for the first time and enjoyed the drive up in convoy. Pity about the rain and me being a bit of a wuss and not getting the car down the strip  [:$] (10/10 for effort in persuading me Nanaki).

Hindsight is a wonderful thing and on the way home I was wishing I had done it, especially after seeing a lot of standard cars....including a Vauxhall Zafira..go down. At least it gives me an excuse to head up again!!!

yeah that the same wheels, glad they fitted but dont know if im keeping them on. they r up for sale so if someone wants them they will go but if not will keep them on just now,

Sorry for the late thread revival........

Had a good day at Crail on the 24th.  Never really got the chance to meet many of you guys, but hopefully we can sort something out in the future.  Thanks for the pics, I've shamelessly stolen a few.  Mine was the silver bug, the one who broke.....but the damage isn't as bad as it looks. My cooling fan exploded and destroyed everything in its path, but thankfully did not damage the motor. All fixed again now and ready for Bug Jam at Santa Pod in 2 weeks - myself, Peter and Donald will be there racing with the VWDRC []

My first run was a 13.1, but the car was getting proper scary with the slicks on the cool track so i shut off early[:$] Needless to say it was a day for the scoobies[]

Hopefully we can arrange another day at Crail in the future...
