karl_dowie Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 The other day i was looking through Bebo and i came across this voting pole Scoobie vs Evo, so i clicked on it and this one person said that the only reason you would have a scoobie is because they dont have enough pennies to buy an evo. Then he went on to say that scoobies are just crap in every way compared to an evo. But thing that annoyed me the most was that he drives a pug 205 xs!!!! so i dont think he can say anything really.
fai17 Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 BTW....people that can afford to buy an EVO is because they think more money buys you better things!!! EVO is like a car driven by computers.....pure cack[]
4Hero Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 bebo is used by my nephew who is 13, says it all really.
scoob fae ork Posted May 11, 2007 Posted May 11, 2007 I think all those who say Evo's are better than Scoobs blah blah blah are not real drivers i mean how can you be a real driver when the Evo does all the work for you how boring is that and dont get me started on there reliabilaty problems . Evos look horrible sound horrible and they drive like Grantourismo and if anyone says any different please send them by my house and i will shoot them to put them out of there obviose misery. SCOOBS RULE !!!!!
karl_dowie Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 Quote Did you get your car rolling roaded? Yea its only got 390bhp and 340pft.[] Im thinking that just not enough so i might be going for the 2.5l con and bigger turbo and injectors should be good fun.[]
RS Grant Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 I've been really tempted to buy a new style EVO... 7 onwards... I really really like them, and they are very very tuneable. I also like the noise that comes off them, even as 'standard' with the HKS System they sound mean as F00K. <- had to get it past the swear filter. [8-)] From the new Impreza Hatch pics and the EVO 10 pics... If I was buying new in 2008, then I'd probably go for the EVO in all honesty. Cheers, Grant
craigy Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 sombody has to talk rubbish so lets let this TOOL crack on , fact is he probly aint driven either and if he did im pretty sure he wouln be writin pap like that,
johnnyr6 Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Who cares what some spotty yoof thinks??? I like my scoob but i also really rate evo's, especially for power 380 brake from an exhaust, filter and remap isn't too shabby in my books. ( ex scooby owners evo6 results by the way). I'd happily give up my scoob for a evo 6.5

WUZ Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Quote Yea its only got 390bhp and 340pft.[] (Thinks to self) OH, my - Gumballs figures were slightly out then! (stops thinking to self) 2.5 is a nice idea but for the STi, you'll need new pistons to replace the cack hypereutectic ones they have! Russell
karl_dowie Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 Yea i was planning on putting forged pistons, rods and crank in it. But its early days yet ill just see what happens.
WUZ Posted May 12, 2007 Posted May 12, 2007 Pistons are a must, rods are a nice idea for big boost but THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE 2.5 CRANK!! Russell ( happy to have been proven he was right all along!)
karl_dowie Posted May 12, 2007 Author Posted May 12, 2007 Thanks for that, thats saves me alot of money not buying a crank. I was hoping to be running about 500 to 600bhp.

karl_dowie Posted May 13, 2007 Author Posted May 13, 2007 So what is it do i need a crank or not boyz???????
WUZ Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 Believe who you want M8, its your money In the past year, there are well over 10 people who have 2.5's with STANDARD Cranks and are running 500+bhp I helped build a 2.5 up here last year into an STi8 and she's running 490/480 @ 1.5 bar and there is loads left in the engine on its OE Crank. Forged Crank? that's a new one. Russell ps - ask those who have high revving 2.35 engines ( I am one of them) what Crank they are using!
craig mac Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I just bought a very good crank from a 2.5 for my next "wee" project[] Forged cranks? You mean Billet me thinks Peter? Waste of money IMHO

simon_mcwilliam Posted May 13, 2007 Posted May 13, 2007 I got my crank QPQ coated from Agra Dundee, this is supposed to really toughen them up.
