brian_paterson Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 Hi there need help!! My alarm/immobiliser key fob has not been workin since i parked under a phone mast in my 2000 turbo (W reg), ended up typing in the code to the box in the glovebox!! have tried changing batteries but still not workin. Have heard you can re program them in but don't have the hand book for the alarm/immobiliser, can anyone tell me how to do this?? It is the standard CAT1 Subaru alarm system Worried incase the spare ends up the same! Cheers Bry
cullenmin Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I have the same issue with masts, MY00 classic. To avoid getting stuck in a place I havnt stopped before, I push the key fob whilst the engine is running to see if the small LED flashes. If it doesnt flash then a mast may blocking the signal! Works for me. Rich
brian_paterson Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 Cheers for replying mate but its not workin atol where as the other works fine. There is case for the alarm as its the frequency that the mast are set to by the goverment that stop the fobs working under them, it is about seventy quid plus fitting but don't see the point as long as you know your code. But my fob is not workin press it anywhere and the wee red light flashes on it, but dosen't activate alarm. Bry
cullenmin Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 I've never has a fob fail on me, maybe it does need re-coding or something! Lucky for you that your keypad works, mine doesnt and I cant be bothered paying subaru for another one!
