daniel Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Hi mate is there any chance you could dig up them part numbers for the adaptors for my sender units please. Thanks mate[Y]
Dalthegooner Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I'm gonna assume that the adaptors you want are for oil temperature and oil pressure Dan. You get them from LMA The oil temperature adaptor is an LMA067 The oil pressure adaptor so that you can keep the original unit as well as the one for the gauge is LMA095/1
prodrive tony Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Ive got to do the same. I have oil pressure and temp senders and loads of adapters etc. Can any one explain the best place to mount the senders ie block, sandwich plate?? Thanks.
daniel Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 I'm in this position because the sandwich plate turned out to be crap, so I'm mounting on the block hence the reason to find these adaptors
prodrive tony Posted May 8, 2007 Posted May 8, 2007 Ill post a pic of my numerous adapters see what u think.
daniel Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 Have you tried to fit any of them yet? I think the pressure sender adaptor may have an extension pipe on it [*-)]
daniel Posted May 8, 2007 Author Posted May 8, 2007 I will ring LMA tomorow and order the parts that dal has posted. Is that square fitting a tee piece ? (poss for oil pressure sender) if it is then you might only need an extension pipe.
Dalthegooner Posted May 9, 2007 Posted May 9, 2007 The pressure sender adaptor does come with an extension pipe to move the oil pressure sender away from the alternator so you have room to fit the two. You can just take out the original adaptor and install gauge one in the hole. You don't need any adaptor for this but the oil light on the dash stops working, but you have the gauge insterad to monitor the pressure. Tony, it looks like you will have the right adaptor for the temperature sender but the only way to be sure is to take the bung out and try. You can always refit the bung if you don't and order one from LMA
daniel Posted May 9, 2007 Author Posted May 9, 2007 well I have bought the two adaptors and they should be in the post by the end of the day, if they fit ok then the part numbers are good. Thanks dal [Y]
daniel Posted May 15, 2007 Author Posted May 15, 2007 I have had these delivered over the weekend and I will try to get them on in the week. Do they look like the right bits?

Dalthegooner Posted May 19, 2007 Posted May 19, 2007 Don't forget PTFE tape on all of the threads Dan.
