Double Zero Posted May 4, 2007 Posted May 4, 2007 I would give Duncan @ Hypertech a call mate. Stevie
arch Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I have always had excellent service from Ian Greaves, but my car is still under warranty. They are genuinely helpful and I cant fault them. [Y] Should the service not be due at 39628miles or 16/10/07 i.e 10,000 miles or 12 months?
cullenmin Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Its up to you mate whether you want to keep subaru history or go for a specialist! I'll bet a good specialist knows just as much (if not more) than a subaru garage in terms of experience!
nick280 Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 Dealer servicing aint all its cracked up to be. They follow service schedules and rarely check anything else unless you ask them to. I'd go specialist, they'd do just as good-a-job if not better imo.
Spaceman Posted May 5, 2007 Posted May 5, 2007 I get mine done at Ian grieves cause i know i can trust the guys there to look after my car. They are always comprehensive and most times i get an extra check sheet like the pre sale inspection style. Ian grieve especially charlie and the 2 Mechs are spot and on and always bend over backwards to help out. They have always been good for a a great price for servicing from a main dealer. Give Charlie a call and see what he can do if Charlie ain`t in Ryan his right hand man is spot on too and will sort you out. P.S Charlie if you read this ill be in to book my 28,000 mile serive next week sometime. do i get extra discount for this lol But seriously the guys down there are great. greig
seano Posted May 6, 2007 Author Posted May 6, 2007 Thanks for that mate.I know what some garages are like, im a mechanic for a garage with a lot of pain in the arse customers, but they drive half decent cars so they can afford to be fussy , i want to keep it full history because it looks good to see a service book stamped up to date from the dealer, some people think im of my head but thats the main thing i look for when im buying a car and its a good selling point as well.
