bigbadboab Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Just had the trusty stead serviced, not by a franchise but by an ex Halleys Subaru technician. I was advised that the clutch pedal was high and could be on the way out. The problem I have with this is that it has always felt this high and I have had no signs of slipping or the likes. I was also advised that if it starts to slip it would goose the flywheel. Advice taken on board. Do I get it replaced and at what price (7.5 hours + clutch kit (£45-£60 p/h labour + £350ish)) or continue driving and wait for the intial signs of slipping bearing in mind the above said? Thanks folks
jodie typeRA Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 i would drive it iff you feel its ok (but thats me lol).... AWD £5oo all in im sure[Y]
paddy247 Posted May 2, 2007 Posted May 2, 2007 Best to get the flywheel skimed when fitting a new clutch, normally about £40 charge for this at AWD, so if its not sliping just get saving for an nice helix organic number for when it starts to go!!
bigbadboab Posted May 3, 2007 Author Posted May 3, 2007 Cheers for the replies guy's, will wait until it starts to slip-ish
