pennine subaru Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 hi , i thought i would let you know i am over staying with friends over the TT period and would be available at some point to help the Manx owners go a little faster, just to give you all a bit of background i own pennine Subaru and we are based in hebden bridge, west Yorkshire. our core business is blueprinted engine building [all machining done in house] and as most of our engines need tuning due to upgrades etc, we do quite a bit of re mapping. we have been repairing Subaru's for over fifteen years now and we have managed to keep a low profile no adds, magazines ,not even a web site [although our site should go live any time now] so some of you may not of heard of us .i have been coming over to the island since 1992 to see good friends and family and of course the TT . i love it there you are all so lucky to have those roads ,anyway if i can help i will, so if anyone is interested please call the workshops on 01422 845007 and ask for chy oh.. and if you have ever wondered what you get when you put a jet engine in a kart you might like to look at this www.jetkart.co.uk cheers chy
cupradave Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Welcome to the forum mate. That Jet Kart is proper nuts, did you build it? I would be interested in your services while you are over but unfortunately I have a MY98 WRX and the standard ECU's cant be remapped. I am dropping hints to the Mrs for an upgrade but not sure yet if she will let me have it before TT. Can you guys supply, fit and map?
pennine subaru Posted April 21, 2007 Author Posted April 21, 2007 hi yes i did build the kart i would not drive it otherwise 151 mph last time out....as far as your ecu goes it can be mapped and we soon be testing a new system for the 97-98 ecu watch this space and thanks for the welcome cheers chy
ghost101 Posted April 23, 2007 Posted April 23, 2007 Hi chy i would be interested in a remap too would be easier than hunting someone down when i'm away later in the year. will ring the workshop in the week and speak to you then about it though. seen the jet kart that things nuts lol [][H]
dooahhdoo Posted April 27, 2007 Posted April 27, 2007 Hi, how about a 1996 Sti V2? Can one of these be mapped and if so do you have an approximate cost? Thanks
pennine subaru Posted April 28, 2007 Author Posted April 28, 2007 hi we are just in the processes of testing a new software program and board for the 92-96 ecu that includes live mapping that is looking very promising. this is not an ecutek product as they support the 1999-present day cars. the new board should be available in time for my Manx visit but i have to finish testing on our cars first. for more info on this or anything you think we can help with call the workshops on 01422 845007 cheers chy pennine Subaru
