baser999 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 In his column in Saturdays Telegraph James May is arguing that the driver should suit the car and not vice versa. He argues that Lambos and Ferraris are for footballers whereas a Maserati is for the more discreet and generally driven by gentlemen and women such as Sophia Loren......I'm with him so far. However he then goes on to say that while sales assistants in clothes shops will often be honest and tell you how much better you'd look in the pale blue suit he suspects "a Subaru dealer would sell an Impreza to a man who walked in with a white stick" [:^)] [*-)]
Guest leebo77 Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Personally, I don't think that it makes sense.
badboy baza Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 Personally I think 90% of performance cars are purchased with passion and desire, rather than buying a car to suite. The odd 10% ie footballers etc because they can, and money is no object. dare say I'd be the same if in the same situation.
