scoobyiain Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 no probs mate... hows the back holding out Well i'm glad i never came along as it was starting to feel uncomfortable on the way home so i just lazed about the house with a few beers to numb the pain.
thefastone Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Ah, so THATS why I never saw you about after perth, Never realised that You never came on the run like... shame I still never got a chance to meet you in person yet!
micra_wrc Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 had a good day yesterday. Cool pics and vids so far. we had to drive through a blizzard when leaving Glenshee the 1st timeround but was so happy that the weather cleared up. I think we gotdry-ish roads and sunshine for the rest of the day. sorry to the slow group for going the wrong way twice and missing the last 2 rest stops, the roads looked different in the snow and got disorientated [:$]we ended up doing the same stretch of road 3 times []. ach well, it was a great wee twisty road []at least we didnt lose anyone and we all made it back to Perth all right [Y] hope the pace was ok and for clarity, i never went over 3 figures. I always saw around 6-8 cars behind me when we were on the road so assumed everyone could see the person in front. I had between 15 and 20 in my group and apparently those near the end had to drive fast to catch up whenever we restarted. Had a few newbies in the group and hoped they enjoyed themselves. The stories and everyone's enjoyment make organising these runs worthwhile These are the pics that I managed to take: SCOOBYIAIN......... LOOK AWAY NOW........[]
Jamis Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Pace was good m8 and really enjoyed the run.Cant wait till the next one as i sould have my suspension set up better.
micra_wrc Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Higgy goes up the way!! Picture of the day i think. cant believe you guys had time to stop and fly over the bridge a couple of times - my group didnt really stop when we were on the road!
scoobyiain Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Ah, so THATS why I never saw you about after perth, Never realised that You never came on the run like... shame I still never got a chance to meet you in person yet! Yeah i was offered to go in a few cars to save me driving but my back just couldn't take it, will see you next time. Imy, my eyes are hurting after looking at the last 2 pics, as soon as i got home i washed mine and that was only driving to perth and back. Had i came on the run i think i would have been stopping at every jet wash lol.
micra_wrc Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 LoL my car isnt as dirty as that, the dirt on squirrel's car came from the car park in the lecht ski centre forgot to say thanks to Higgy and Jac cyp_rock for leading the other 2 groups.
thefastone Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I dont know like, I cant say that my car was that much better, one of the first things that I did when i get in last night was take the thing to the jet wash.... She was gleaming the night before too!!!
4Hero Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 I didn't realise you were all going back to Tesco afterwards and I headed straing home [:'(] Listening was never my strong point..
WRX Haz Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 The pace in my group was great, a lot faster than i expected but fantastic, well done to all that organised this [Y] Imy it was nice too meet you (and others) and to be the only 2 women owner/drivers (i think). This was my first run and certainly wont be my last

col666 Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Was the Sport scoob silver with a big wing? it passed me in tesco's car park and i thought it sounded different! Also big respect to Monty who managed to stay with the unhinged group all day while driving a diesel!!
corsa Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Just cleaned the car and i would like to say 40000 thanks yous to Coulty for every single stone chip to the front of the scoob,Only kidding mate thats what they are for, plenty of paint in the paint shop. PS what about buying some of these?
scoobykev Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 Huge thanks to Imy and Grant for organising this, and to Higgy for leading the group i was in[], excellent day out. Russell, my car will probably stay looking like that for a while, never really been a member of the show and shine brigade, and it's nice to see the front end before the carnage was inflicted, never thought a pheasant could cause so much damage at 60mph[] And if we're aportioning blame like the above post. I followed mr corsa around most of the day, your flaps don't work either, you owe me a morrette headlight[]
micra_wrc Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 any more pics or videos? grant's compiling a Squirrelvision clip and I've seen some raw footage. the crazy horse even strapped a camcorder on his rear spoiler []
higgy Posted March 20, 2007 Posted March 20, 2007 any more pics or videos? grant's compiling a Squirrelvision clip and I've seen some raw footage. the crazy horse even strapped a camcorder on his rear spoiler [] Imy I gave Grant around 2 hours of foot to the floor action from the front of the unhinged group so once he has a few hours to spair im sure we will have a vid on the board. Higgy
