David Richards led consortium buy Aston Martin

 The consortium, led by Mr Richards' Prodrive business, includes American and Middle Eastern investors.David is one of the most charismatic leaders in British motor sport and has a passion for Aston Martins. So much so that he drives his own Vanquish to work each day. He partned Ari Vatanen to the World Rally Championship in 1979.  David launched Prodrive and now employs 1000 and earned £160 million last year, give or take a fur quid. The Subaru rally team developed by Mr richards not only provided Britain with its first World Rally Champion  driver in Colin Mc in 1995 but transformed the fortunes of Subaru. 2008 should see Davids new Formula One team on the Grand Prix circuits next year. It would be great to see Aston Martin back under  British leadership ,  wish I had the  £450million spare to buy  Aston Martin.  WE should START a COLLECTION Thanks to (Kevin Eason) for the profile.[Y]
