Rang Walldonway today to book in for the PPP and they only found out about it themsleves today! They are waiting for the kits to be supplied by (I think he said by a supplier called I.M.).

As soon as they have them I'm getting it done, so hopefully I'll be able to keep up with everyone else.

Have taken the car down to Walldonway today so should be ready tomorrow or wednesday.

Just a quick question though, do I or should I get the old ECU back?

You shouldn't get the ECU back as they use it for another PPP

Ok,i give up,wtf is PPP?[:$]

PPP is a form of healthcare package - have it fitted and you'll feel good forever [:)]

Can anyone explain, in laymans terms please, why this upgrades not suitable for my 2000 classic - is there a real difference between a 00 and an 01? Would love to have it done but the car's a year too old [:'(]

Thanks Granby, I won't embarass myself then by demanding it back!

I'll report back on my opinions of the PPP as soon as I pick it up.

They should give you the exhaust bits they change though (if you want them)

I'll ask for them back but I don't know what the hell I'm going to do with them. Stuff them in the shed until the wife makes me throw them away I guess!

Picked up the car a couple of hours ago and OMG did it feel quick on the motorway. The pick up when overtaking or losing a rep that's trying to stick to your arse is absolutely amazing. I must say however that I haven't noticed a great deal of difference on the standing start despite Prodrive claiming it to be a second quicker to 60 mph.

Very pleased with it though and unsurprisingly I am most defintely Still Grining!!! [6]

Thanx Markie - if anyone can offer a serious answer I'd be grateful.  Is there really such a difference? Perhaps I should call Walldonway.

Baser, I asked Bruce at Walldonway if this is for the classic as well and he said that it wasn't I'm afraid. I didn't ask for any technical reasons why as I would have just forgotten them immediately as I'd probably have drifted off to my happy place as he was explaining the reasons!!

Bruce is a decent enough bloke so by all means ring him and I'm sure he explain. The service department number is 01622 885800.

I've been there a couple of times now and found them to be very good.

Barry i think 1 of the differences would be the exhaust as i believe they change this( sure someone will comfirm this) other than that i cant see what would be different, but hey what do i know[;)]

Just called Walldonway who confirm that this offer is only for 2001 - 2005 WRX although they couldn't tell me why it wouldn't work on my car

I'm sure that Markie is right.  The exhaust on a classic is different to a newage.
