Guest AlanK Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 Now my pride and joy is not so perfect anymore (fekn Clio driving barsteward) I am gonna chear myself. Cant be bothered with the hassle at MOT time so gonna get a Ninja Downpipe with Fast flow Cat (300) and probably the Afterburner De-cat Centre Section (silencer as its for a wagon 110) from scoobyworld - unless something else can be suggested folks?? Question> some folk have said the PPP will already have removed one of the cats? Is this true and if so which part dont I need to replace? Will this make much difference to the sound if I dont change the back box (Prodrive) - Want a bit more from it but dont want it OTT. Also going to get front and rear ARB and Drop Links along with a front strut, not sure I really want to lose the space in the wagon with the rear but still unsure. Dont think ALK will be necessary but wonder how much difference the Whiteline stuff will actually make since I already have the Prodrive handling pack and the car is pretty stiff in the corners already - any thoughts? So what have I forgoten about or what else should be done at the same time? A visit to AndyF will follow when I can afford it - will I be OK with the above for a while? Anyone know how much a PPP ECU is worth as I think I would be best doing a part exchange with someone with a non Prodrive'd ECU. Loads more questions but thats a start - As is obvious I am pretty new to this (had the car about 6 months) so appreciate everyones input and advice very much! Cheers
Guest AlanK Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 Or what about dropping in a 2.5 twin turbo engine outta a P1?
cusco kid Posted March 1, 2007 Posted March 1, 2007 hi alan as i said earlier the whiteline kit will make a big difference to your car i can also get you a strut brace to match ask higgy about the diff/ in his car since fitting f+r arb r+r d/links anti lift kit and top brace geo
Guest AlanK Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 How much for a set of struts as was gonna get them from Gus? Did you get my PM? Anyone have any thoughts on what a sportscat and decat centre section will make to the noise if I dont change the Prodrive back box? Alan
Haribo1187 Posted March 3, 2007 Posted March 3, 2007 Hey m8.. I also have a PPP Classic.. When my car still had the standard downpipe and cat in It sounded awesome, this was due to the Hayward and Scott Center section and Prodrive backbox, made a weird but distinctive jet engine kinda ripping whoose under hard accelaration. Im now running H&S De-cat Downpipe to Blitz Nur Spec R. The noise had completely changed and to be honest im kinda missing my old Prodrive note. Andy
Guest AlanK Posted March 4, 2007 Posted March 4, 2007 Must be a prodrive thing - I get that odd buzz aswell with (as far as I know) only the prodrive back box. - Does anyone know if the PPP will have changed anything else in an MY99? Someone told me it already has a sport cat as part of the package but I am not convinced.

Guest AlanK Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 Does that mean I can miss out the decat centre section?
philip_wilson Posted March 5, 2007 Posted March 5, 2007 All you will need is the downpipe for a full decat m8 if your car has ppp.
Guest AlanK Posted March 7, 2007 Posted March 7, 2007 Well most of the stuff is on its way - just the Downpipe to think about which I have another thread on. Cheers Guys!
