graeme_stuart Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Does anyone know who's silver wrx classic with reg number -MN 181 T...... that is for sale in city cars in Peel. Its very clean with a full ss exhaust on it.
graeme_stuart Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 65.000 miles on it with exellent service history. I fancy putting mine in for it and get a second car for driving to work and teaching the wife to drive. And just having a scoob for weekends and meets. Cant have 2 cars with the one i have now.[^o)].
cupradave Posted February 15, 2007 Posted February 15, 2007 sounds to me like you are already talkin yourself into it Graeme [] by the way was it you driving through Crosby headin in the Peel direction on Tuesday morning? I waved but I think who ever it was was too busy lookin at the WRX in the drive, I was puttin the car back together after installing my sounds.

I always wanted a classic shaped scoob, i think they look cool [H]. I just need a bit more info on it, to make sure its not going to go bang in a couple of miles[]. Its about 6 years younger than mine, but its still a scooby and has been loved by the looks of it. I just cant justify doing 150 miles+ per week, just to travel to work in a high performance car, when i have a kid, a morgage and bills to pay. Plus the £40 per week in fuel alone. Then i have my pleasure time fuel on top of that. This way i can have the pleasure of both, and get the wife to pass her test and get a new scoob again. Never mind , its just a thought Was not me i don't think on tuesday, even though i was heading to the big smoke that day. See you later m8ty.

Cret Posted February 17, 2007 Posted February 17, 2007 I know the feeling well!! The legacy does about 20mpg tops with the current ECU maps at best, and about half that with the right foot getting heavy! Problem is my discovery does about the same mileage too so it's a no win situation. Trying to get the mrs to get her provisional so I can teach her for a while then she can get a wee shopping trolley that will do zillions of miles to the gallon. [] Either that or when I've rebuilt the S13 motor it'll do better miles with no interior, a rebuilt motor and only a 1.8 turbo engine instead of the 2.0turbo and 2.5turbo! At least the boat is normally aspirated. So far... []

[] The problem with teaching the wife to drive is that we want to drive what you dudes drive so you either cough up for another car like yours or we keep nicking yours and nagging till we get our way. Ask my other half Jim as that was his plan when he taught me to drive. Nix[]

Until then she can drive the biggest and slowest of my turbos - the Discovery! []
