colzo Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 You`ve got it bad mate! Is it the Green Group N filter from TSL? If so, do you know the difference between that one and the Standard Green one?
C J K Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Here's the speel the guy wrote in the advert This is a special Green panel filter forall models of Subaru Impreza Turbo/WRX/STi manufactured specially forTSL to homologated Group N spec with a higher flowing blue weave ratherthan the standard green cotton pleat. It is the exact same filtermaterial used by Peugeot in their WRC-winning 206's. It definitely improved flow over my oldSTi panel filter by a huge amount - a general increase in overboost byaround 0.1 bar and it sounded much meatier even though it was obviouslystill enclosed in the airbox. This filter and a new induction pipe evenmaxed out my MAF sensor running at 1.5 bar. You can hold it up to thelight and see how well it's going to flow. Blow through it and there'svirtually no resistance although it still filters just as well as thestandard Green filter. You are supposed to use the normal Greencleaning and re-oiling fluid with this. Green-manufactured filters areNOT linked with MAF contamination in any way. cheers,Colin
