kaan_ors Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Is it worth considering hiring a mini bus? By the way, there will be fines for anybody that drinks with their non glove hand.

daniel Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Quote Quote Did you see the fella today who fell 15,000 feet as his parachute had only partly opened. It was all caught on camera by himself and his mate that had jumped behind him. Amazingly he survived but the funniest thing about the whole incident was, listen out for it if you watch it on the news, the first thing his mate said to him when he managed to find him was "Are you okay?" to which he replied "No"!!!! How many people can you ask that to that have just fallen 15,000 feet? Anyway, definately no to a parachute jump but like the idea of the naked point to point. Just make sure it's in the summer and prey you don't brake down or get a flat. [] Link doesn't work due to copy right issues Probably on the NET... somewhere Found it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyqhVbjNiMs

granby Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Quote Has a date been mentioned? Nope and as yet it hasn't been decided what we are gonna do although for some reason the pub crawl seems popular
kaan_ors Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 That's good. I'll think up a few more rules, run a risk assessment and run it up the flag pole and see who salutes it!
imprezyou Posted February 14, 2007 Author Posted February 14, 2007 Wel depending on wat we all agree on depends on when we can set a date, the pub crawl does seems popular at the mo , maybe a fancy dressed pub crawl with lots of buckets for collectiong on the way ? i was hopeing that perhaps we could of arranged an event where perhaps people with families could attend, but what ever is the most popular i am happy to go along with ,its about raising funds and awareness for the kai foundation.
kaan_ors Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 I'm easy, I do agree perhaps it would be more sensible to go with a family theme. Although it's always handy to have a small child around in order to rest your beer on its head. I'm happy to go with the flow.

I think that dressing up is a great idea we may need clearance from the pubs to take buckets in, T123VOR can be in charge of the outfits as his shorts brightened up kent modded []
shiralee Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 My vote is for the family disco kinda night!![] Either a 70's or an Old School theme..everyone to dress in school wear!![] I know of a couple of DJ s (well of sorts) and am quite happy to ask them for services rendered...not promising anything tho!![] To overcome the problem of collecting monies..No ticket should be issued without first receiving the money!! Maybe if we looked for somewhere around Dartford then this would suit ESC?? If not maybe in a hotel complex so people cann stay over? I am happy to do some ringing around see what deals I can crack??[]
matthew_buckland Posted February 14, 2007 Posted February 14, 2007 Count me and my family in on this, we spent some time at the Evelina Childrens Hospital last year with my 11year old son who unfortunaltely lost a kidney, a lot of parents up there rely on the Ronald Mcdonald house, without that their already difficult time would of been much worse, it would be good to give something back [Y] Something the kids can join in with would be great, Disco sounds good Shirilee, not sure about dressing up as a schoolgirl thou.

imprezyou Posted February 15, 2007 Author Posted February 15, 2007 Ok i am going to take risk and go for a charity old skool night with bbq and bouncy castles etc etc , to be arranged at a venue and time tba. The more the merrier and at least kids will be welcome so theres no problem with families coming , or leave them at home . Please if you feel that this is not your scene please just say so i know at least not to expect you , remember the the reason for all this , its to raise as much dough as possilble. I will in the next few days leave a link thread on scoobynet to see if i can boost the numbers and hopefully invole essex scoobs or even any scoob club . Also shiralee has emailed banzai to see weather they will do a plug on the event , if not then we will try some other mags aswel maybe true grip to. Properly arranged this could be a really good night and who knows if it is then perhaps it could be our yearly fund raiser event. Any other ideas for the night would be most helpful and i do need helpers so please make a list if your willing to help orginise or have any services to offer or know someone that would be of help .Remember its you lot that make this club what it is and lets show the others how things are done. Please i am relying on you lot so lets make it a night to remember !!!
