Can anyone give me some information on this scooby... basic details as i have no idea when it comes to older models.

My mate is looking at buying a scooby for about 8g and was looking at this...

Any comments welcome people.

That is a very low price for a Type R of that year and mileage they
usually hold their price - is it a fresh import?  And with all new
paint and a new front I'd look very carefully at it first & take
someone with me
who knows what they are looking for too.  His best bet would be to
take a look and get all the numbers off the vin plate if the owner is
willing (if he's really not happy about you doing that walk away lol)
There is a website where you can check to see if the car is what it
says on the badge []  Not sure where this is so I'm sure someone
else can post that up for me [A]

Its basically the nearest (along with the RA) to being a road
going rally car, and because it's the facelift you get all the electric
stuff as well, mirrors, windows etc.  Not 100% if it's as stripped
out as the RA is as standard but it has the short ratio gear box, so if
he likes going over 70mph don't let him get it lol, or get him ear
defenders[] I think it also has dcd? I can't see any
extra controls near the gear stick so I'm sure someone will come along
and correct me if I'm wrong.  It also states STI, which means you
get all the forged internals which help prevent the big bang from
happening so soon[]

Depends how far away it is - I'm no mechanic [], but I do pick up

things a lot of people miss, when I was looking at cars I was finding

things the sales people had missed, but then I am a lot shorter than

most people lol (OK I'm a nitpicker lol I'll pick holes in the most

immaculate car to get the price down lol).....and I have a lot of free

time too []
