Well after months of idle problems my car is finally sorted now yepeeeeeeee. £700.00 in taking it to various garages later and it turned out to be thestupid spring in my dump valve , apparently it wasnt strong enough and was caused due to the fitment of a 6 speed gearbox and lightened flywheel which upsett the vaccum settings in the throttle body , apparently the spring wasnt strong enough to keep the valve closed at idle. Who would of thought it ! ............ At least i got a new idle crontrol valve and lamba sensor out of it !  ( THAT STILL DONT MAKE ME FEEL ANY BETTER LOL )

I was out allday yesterday driving round and round and round , think i done 40 quid in petrol loved it and it was nice to have her back in my hand purring like a kitten. Baily motor sport the nice people have even kindly offered to rebuild my dump valve with a stronger spring for free of charge , now thats service . So now hopefully i can start enjoying and see some shows this year to , thanks trev and granby see you both soon

What was happening mate, i suspect my dump valves opening under boost as im getting a whistle under acceleration??

It was arratic in idle as if the air flow sensor had gone and also stalling after hard accelaration.  Hope this helps .  Good luck !!!! let me know how you get on .

Interesting, iv'e got both of those.  Idle up and down and after a rev wants to die!!

I  have a super hks bov dump valve here thats just a few months old if you want to try it and see if it resolves your problem tony . Let me know fella . Also i have a large selection of air flow sensors as well . Not sure wat year you car is but worth letting you know because some times the air flow sensors can have the same symptons.

Hi mate its a uk98 with the dump valve connection on the intercooler pipework?? Does the hks dump valve you have connect direct onto intercooler??

Allright tony  this dump valve mate proberly wont fit without the adapter which is on my car mate so not sure wat else to suggest, all i can say is when mines back from baily you can try fit mine on yours if thats any help , why not come try one of my spare air flow sensors first mate. Let me .
