Andy UK300 Posted December 29, 2006 Posted December 29, 2006 Soon my car is going to be sold and i amgoing overseas for a while.while i am gona i want to keep my NCB going as i pay montly on myinsruance say i were to pick a random banger in my street,would they notice if i changed my policy to that? im never going toclaim on it. do they check these things? cheers (any other ideas would be apreciated)
sti pretender Posted December 30, 2006 Posted December 30, 2006 The Insurance companies have a national database it flags up any double insured cars as it could be a way of making double your money. Best way would be insuring a scrap car that will never go back on the road. Might have a car you could use was a 1962 mini I had 15 years ago. Was that past it cut it up and sold it to scrap metal yard never told DVLA (oops) think I still have the V5 (will check). DVLA also use the database so a SORN would stop them hounding you for road tax. Will check and PM you.
