Little H Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 Car goes in to CAS tomorrow for some work.... KYB gas filled shocks FSE fuel pump 60k service And some other important bits....[:@]
J0nah Posted December 11, 2006 Posted December 11, 2006 let's hope for improvements on what you were saying the other Sunday mate.
Little H Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Its back and back to normal....woooohoooo Keeping it for now, or until i see what i want. Ive had KYB shocks fitted, 60k service, FSE fuel pump and all my probs sorted and some probs that i have been told were normal by others are now sorted. Oh and the VF30 is fitted, so i have a TD04 (Otherwise known as a hairdryer) if any wants a spare. The power, noise and pops are back. A massive huge thanks to Steve, Dave, Luke and Oily (lol) for the work. And a special thanks to Luke for his car.
J0nah Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 you can't really go much wrong with them guys to be honest. glad it's sorted.
Little H Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 Top bunch and some interesting stories over lunch. Only Front mount and Pink injectors to go on and it Mr Forrest time....[y] Its so nice to have a normal car again, also found another major funk up whilst work was going on.
J0nah Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 interesting mate. Will be going there after Chrimbo for a service after last weeks exploits @ Oulton.
Bluebotle Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 I've just had my CAT fitted and can't believe how quiet my engine is now. I had a vibrating rattle when the engine revved. As it's progresively got worse over time I didn't realise how loud it became. Now it's back to how it should be the car feels like new again! I just need new Tyres now and some more STi Struts (Again!!)
Little H Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 CAT fitted [8-)]. What are them??? lol
moneys Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Quote Top bunch and some interesting stories over lunch. Only Front mount and Pink injectors to go on and it Mr Forrest time....[y] Its so nice to have a normal car again, also found another major funk up whilst work was going on. I took my car there the other week to get rid of the last of them horrible little cats and to be honest its a cracking little garage with nice lads. The boss had a nightmare fitting my up-pipe and it took much longer than he expected but there was no additional charge. How much did the 60k service set you back ste? getting mine done early next year so it,d be good to compare it. I,m getting mine mapped in feb by bob rawle and cant wait, thats the last of my mods then as the baby come,s along in march so no more fun with the car. (for now anyway). Oh and what was the other major mistake they found mate?
*Andy* Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Lee, how come you've put your power sucking cat back in??
Little H Posted December 13, 2006 Author Posted December 13, 2006 I think they charge about £250 and vat for the 60k service, mine was a little less as i didnt need an air filter. Did the same for me, was doing my up pipe gaskets and ended up fitting my VF30 at no extra cost. As for the probs, will fill you off line about it.
Bluebotle Posted December 13, 2006 Posted December 13, 2006 Cost made the decision for me. To have it decatted it would have cost me £250 for the decat pipe and £700 for the Remap plus labour (Approx £1200) I bought a 2nd hand CAT from Ebay for £35 and Got it installed today for £180 Much cheaper lol Wish I could have had it decatted though.

gunther Posted January 1, 2007 Posted January 1, 2007 Bob I emailed CAS the other day for a service cost and here is the reply: Hi John Has your car had the 60k service? If you need a 60k then the price including belt is 275 plus vat. If the car is due a 70K then the price will be 150 plus vat. Which is a good price so I need to get it in soon also there is a burning smell coming from the engine bay[] I will pm you Steves email address
Little H Posted January 2, 2007 Author Posted January 2, 2007 Top bunch of lads Bob, its in good hands. Just keep your ears closed when they are telling the stories [+o(]
