deani_age Posted December 6, 2006 Author Posted December 6, 2006 Good Morning Ian We took the car up to Zen on Saturday. They rang yesterday to say the car was ready, but they couldn't start it - problem with immobiliser. They want me to collect it, I want them to test it first. Still trying to resolve the implications of that issue. Watch this space, might have an update later today. Regards Dean
Deano 666 Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 hope it all went well Dean, you may as well order a rear diff now that will put up with the stick from the front end,
granby Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Quote And I was thinking of lowering my estimate to 330 / 330. We only managed to get 1 map down @ 1.2 Bar boost, as the MAF sensor maxed out. That was going to be the lowest setting of the 3 boost settings planned. 1.4 Bar and 1.7 Bar were considered for the other settings. Anyway, it's an old (11 years) RA, out of puff over 100 MPH. (note even bigger excuses) I now need to source a 300ZX TT MAF from somewhere. Did you sort out a MAF as i've just seen this http://bbs.scoobynet.com/private-sale-gene...iring-plug.html
deani_age Posted December 7, 2006 Author Posted December 7, 2006 Car still at Zen. Going up there tomorrow with spare immobiliser fob, see if that sorts it.
deani_age Posted December 8, 2006 Author Posted December 8, 2006 Went to Zen today. Spare immobiliser fob worked, and car started 1st time. Paul test drove, all ok, needs minor clutch adjustment. He had a couple of comments regarding the suspension, "it's a hard ride", "I know" I said with a toothless grin, "how do you think I lost my teeth"? "harder than mine" Paul said. Well that's nice to know?????? Anyway, hopefully will collect it on Saturday, and have a nice smooth drive home!
Dalthegooner Posted December 8, 2006 Posted December 8, 2006 Thats good news [H] Glad its all fixed [Y]
deani_age Posted December 9, 2006 Author Posted December 9, 2006 Drove the car back from Zen Performance earlier today. Lots of strange noises from gearbox, sounds more like a rallycar dogbox than a standard one. Got £30 change from £4K - I hope it was worth it? Brands Hatch next Thursday if nothing goes wrong before hand. Picked up a new air intake dummy headlight, Stainless airbox being made, Nissan ZX MAF on it's way, then hopefully the 2nd and 3rd boost settings can be mapped. I'll let you know how Brands went at next Friday's meet. Here's hoping.
Dalthegooner Posted December 10, 2006 Posted December 10, 2006 Fingers crossed for you Dean. I'm sure it will all be fine [][Y]

deani_age Posted December 15, 2006 Author Posted December 15, 2006 Had a great day at Brands Hatch today. Car performed better than expected. Sorry to the owners of the 911 Turbo, new shape M5, Corvette, EVO VI, M3, STI RA, etc.... shown the waving blue flag to make way for an Impreza. Special thanks to Loony Toon for his hard work getting everything ready over the last couple of days, and looking after me and my guest today. Thanks also to Pele, those wheels did look clean - for a while anyway. Hopefully see some of you tomorrow.
