simon_jeffrey Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Hi Andy A while ago you said you had a mate in Buckley who does spraying - could you PM me his details - my new STi grill has arrived but its white unfortunately. Cheers Si
J0nah Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 Si he's not a mate as such more someone who has sprayed a lot of bits for my car!!!!! I will try and fish his number out. If you turn left out of your estate go up to the lights and turn right. Follow the twisties pass the pub on the left and the water where they go fishing (the Trap) and the take a right turn on to the Pinfold Ind Est. Take your first left and immediate right and his workshop is the 2nd unit on the right from the end. There are no signs up at all so you wouldn't really know he was there. His name is Damien. If you need me to come up and meet you there I may be able to spare a bit of time sometime Sat, depending when Sky come to fix my Plus box.[:@][Y]
simon_jeffrey Posted November 3, 2006 Author Posted November 3, 2006 Nice one Andy - I know where you mean - I'm off this week so I'll bob up there tomorrow[Y]
J0nah Posted November 3, 2006 Posted November 3, 2006 His business goes by the name of Heavenly Bodies.
simon_jeffrey Posted November 4, 2006 Author Posted November 4, 2006 He's moved onto Spencer Industrial Estate and there was no one there yesterday - I've got his moby number though so I'll try him again today. Updated - will be ready on Tuesday - another mod to go with my new red calipers! Cheers for the intro Andy[Y]
simon_jeffrey Posted November 6, 2006 Author Posted November 6, 2006 I'll post some up this week - they need another coat really but they do look well against the silver alloys[Y] I'll post up the new grill pics at the same time once its been sprayed and fitted.
simon_jeffrey Posted November 13, 2006 Author Posted November 13, 2006 Its painted but not on the car yet - does anyone know how to get badges off the grill or is it just a big screwdriver job?
J0nah Posted November 13, 2006 Posted November 13, 2006 You taking the badge off the old grille? If you are, I've done this with my old grille. Big screw driver. But, I would recommend getting a new badge from revolution.eu.com or scoobywworld as you are going to need to buy some adhesive anyway to stick your original badge back on. I would leave the badge on the old grille and lash it on ebay, and buy a new bagde for the new grille. Just my opinion tho.
simon_jeffrey Posted November 20, 2006 Author Posted November 20, 2006 At last the pics! The grill gives the front a more finished off look than the OEM one IMO - plus the pink I badge of course! The painted brake calipers look better as well although they do need another coat of red and then the lettering repainted in white. TSL carbon fibre strut brace arrived yesterday but haven't had time to fit it yet Front splitter should arrived this week and hopefully the new wheels will be on by Christmas. When will the modding end? LOL
J0nah Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 Colour coding the side skirts would aslo finish it off mate. IMO of course. Looking good
J0nah Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 de badge the S U B A R U letters on the boot. I would. Oh, I have.
rasher Posted November 20, 2006 Posted November 20, 2006 if you do that people might no know what you are driving[]
