prodrive tony Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 Hi,has anyone fitted an aftermarket HID kit like those on Fleabay?? Thanks.
prodrive tony Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 No??? We'll I'll be the test dummy then!!
matthew_buckland Posted September 28, 2006 Posted September 28, 2006 Never fitted these but they do look pretty straight forward. If what they've shown is true they'll give a much better beam then standard bulbs. Let us no how it goes, i may be tempted.[Y]
prodrive tony Posted September 28, 2006 Author Posted September 28, 2006 Im gonna go for the 10.000 bulbs which gives off the bluish look. We use H4's I believe which have to have high and low beam. Theses require rotating bulbs which have motors so you can have HI/LOW H.I.D.'s as well. I'll get some before and after shots soon as cars back from garage.
dirtmonkey Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 ive fitted a H4 hi and low kit to my type R, I think it was a 8,000, the low beam was great but the high been was crap. It was easy to fit but a pain in the arse to find places to put the modules and ballists, the kit i used was plug and play.
prodrive tony Posted September 29, 2006 Author Posted September 29, 2006 Did they look good from the front?? Colour change etc??
daniel Posted September 29, 2006 Posted September 29, 2006 Alot of the lancia evo guys use them cos they have got crap lights, but i didnt see them switched on how do they look in dark
dirtmonkey Posted October 2, 2006 Posted October 2, 2006 the colour change is great and it sets the classics from end off in the dark. The 8000 ones i have are ultra white with blue tint. Shop around when you buy because there are sum crap kits out there.
STiBen Posted October 4, 2006 Posted October 4, 2006 does the kit come with Relays to stop the H.I.Ds from burning your lighting loom?
