scooby-girl Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Had a slight disagreement with a ram[:@] the other day!.......I now need a new front driver's side headlight[:@] for a bugeye!........But I'm not sure whether to just buy the same or to go for the ones with the eyelids?[8-)] Also does anyone know of any good websites for buying headlights and HOW EASY IT IS TO FIT THEM YOURSELF?[] Jen[8-)]
paulc555 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Jen If its just a standard WRX Bugeye headlamp, try a breaker like Central Subaru..they had some the last time I looked..you can always pick one up on ebay as well......however could I tempt you with a set of sti bugeye lights I will putting up for sale tomorrow on the site......?? Paul
scooby-girl Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 Hi Paul[] oooops![:$].....forgot to mention they are sti headlights! How much are you wanting for yours? Jen
paulc555 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Oohh Jen, to be honest it took me absolutely ages to get this set. I have UK300 lights on mine and the moment which were believe it or not left hand drive...so I bought the sti ones to replace them. However with the help of my good buddy Spooks we converted them back to RH drive, so I have no need for the sti ones.... I paid £250 for my set from a guy on the "other site"...and to be honest would want to get as much of that back as I could. They have never even been on the car........I know its steep if you only want to replace one light....but why dont you have a hunt first for one....be really specific with what you ask for mind you with the breakers...or you will end up with wrx headlights....if its under £100 its unlikely to be an sti light.... Have a think anyway...and check out the add tom night for a picture... Good luck with the hunt... cheers Paul
scooby-girl Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 Hi Paul I'm going to get a price from a Subaru garage this next week, so if somebody else is interested in buying them from you thats fine.[] Thanks anyway[] Jen
z1000 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Why not go for a set of twin headlights, morettes i think ? as they really improve the front of a bugeye.
higgy Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 There is a pic of the morett lights on a bugeye( or atleast one LOL) Higgy
scooby-girl Posted September 24, 2006 Author Posted September 24, 2006 They do look better!......but my is blue so do I go for the black ones or spray them blue? Jen
z1000 Posted September 24, 2006 Posted September 24, 2006 Colour coded looks best i reckon. Ask killa if he has any pics of his car as it looks really good.
