phil Posted September 16, 2006 Posted September 16, 2006 Town & County will fit customers own supplied parts With a few exceptions, These will be the service items ie oil, plugs, filters etc. Which we will still get our 10% off anyway If you have suspention that you want fitted for example then fine, Brake upgrades etc, Back boxes, springs, the list goes on and on Firstly again a MASSIVE thank you to Gordon GM T&C and Kev Da Workshop Boss Some points to bring right back to the top are as in the original post repeated and confirmed 100% today Town and County do have a 10% discount in operation to all SIDC Members who show there cards! 1, The Service of Imported Cars They will service imported cars not a problem, However, some of the older models do not sync with the diagnostic kit they now use. Please bear this in mind if you have an older model, You have been made aware of this and if, there is an instance that they can not get parts or communicate with the older cars Diagnostics etc, It is not T&C'S Fault. 2, Modified Cars Yes they will service modified cars, if a breakdown etc happens due to a mod during the first three years then your warranty will not cover it (obviously) . This applies to direct failures from said Modifications. However routine serving is not an issue. 3, Problem Reporting If you are going in with a fault for example with a miss fire at 4k rpm etc, you will be asked what mods have been done to your car,Dont be alarmed and dont worry, The reason you will be asked is that they dont know whats been done to your car, and if they dont know they cant really narrow it down. .....So be open honest and tell them what has been done, It could save YOU a lot of time and at the end of the day money. 4, Customer loan cars, This is being looked at, at this moment in time and they are looking to improve on the amount of available loan cars, this still applies 5, Working Relationship Town and County have a sales trailer that is available to us manned, at any of our future events in and around this area. When asked about getting it to Knockhill etc they would if possible take it down, and are very keen to work closer with the SIDC Community as a whole. On the technical support ideas, i.e a rep from T&C signed up on here, this will happen if still required, however due to personal reasons, It will not be until later in the year the next month or so until we have someone available to bouce your questions off 6, Hourly Rates To me this is the icing on the cake, ALL SIDC MEMBERS qualify for a greatly reduced Hourly rate, At present the rate is £58 an hour plus vatThis i might add the same as they charge at A/N Other in Forfar, I did do some homework before i went in As of now ALL SIDC members who show there card when booking in!! will be charged at the new rate per hour, That new rate is £45 an hour Plus vat Vat can not be escaped am afraid as we all know, but this now brings there rate almost to a level of some of the other "specialists" in Personally think this is a massive step to get many people back to there main dealership in Aberdeen, Where the PROPERLY TRAINED AND FULLY QUALIFIED Subaru technician are I would be HUGELY dissappointed if it does not. Well, i have done what i set out to do and that was to try and get SIDC members that little bit more from there dealership in Aberdeen, and IMHO I am very happy and a wee bit surprised to be honest with what they have offered, but credit to them for giving me there time to listen to me, Also for what they in turn have offered to SIDC members in and around the Aberdeen area. Thank you I hope you all are H.A.P.P.Y too. Craig True
