Main page comes up, but if you click a thread it comes up with a database error

Your error will most likely go back to database error Phil.

the site started coming up with these database errors last night on various threads.

it seemed to settle, and then it affected all of the threads.

I submitted a support ticket at 2.30 and had no responce by 3.am so went to bed.

i have had a responce, they have looked at the error and informed me that the Tables on the database have crashed.

and i should run the check/repair database option, which i am currently doing.

This might not work, and we may have to go back to a saved database, which means we will loose everything prior to this backup, users, membership status etc.

Some of the committee are aware, since we have been moved from pilar to post, theis are issues with mysql and i have not been able to create a backup for a while.

I also do not have any priviliges to create or update the database from phpmyadmin.

which means i cannot restore a backup.

I will have to get our hosts to do it for us if the database will not repair.

And the repair does not apear to be working.

Funny, i have had nothing but problems on that site!

try to post and suddenly the thread i post on disappears, then get thrown off site, sign on again and page unavailable then its up again and then its slow and posts take ever to post
