T123VOR Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 I'm looking at getting a gauge pod flocked- is it a DIY job- Ive seen the kits? Or anyone know who could do it professionally at a reasonable cost? Trevor
Guest Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Hi Trevor I think there was a thread on Scoobynet a few months ago about this, there was a guy who flocked dashboards etc. All you needed to do was post the item down to him, I think a dash was less that £100 so a pod should not be much. Might be worth a search!
T123VOR Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 B&Q really? Whereabouts sectionwise?
baser999 Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Is it gonna look like that flock wallpaper you see in those tacky Indian restaurants lol
SCOOBYTOO Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 i was just going to send you to the wallpaper department too[] you would probably need some solvite too[6]
SCOOBYTOO Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 Use an old carpet tile[Y] don't use one of marks dodgy wall tiles. you'll have an accident otherwise[]
Pele Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 From memory - albeit a blonde memory [] - I think either Arron or J-K did the Rally car dash themselves, so I'm sure they will be along to advise....
j-k Posted September 14, 2006 Posted September 14, 2006 If its only a small area that you want to do,you can buy the stuff from FROSTS...try this link... http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?pro...ck%20Trim%20Kit Arron has done some smaller areas in the rally car....finish is excellent if you take your time.. If you want the complete dash doing, then you have to take it out and completely strip ALL the ancillary equipment.... It will then cost about 120-150 to get done professionaly. Good luck jon
T123VOR Posted September 14, 2006 Author Posted September 14, 2006 Cheers Jon and all I had found Frosts funnily enough- didnt know if its a good idea to do it myself- but ill give it a go i think Thanks Trevor
