wrxchris Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 anybody else found that this makes a big differance, i had mine off for today. crossed the line at 111mph. only two weeks ago i was crossin at just 104, running basically the same spec!
jcscoob Posted September 11, 2006 Posted September 11, 2006 Were you the silver car with the decals ?
mazheriqbal_mohammed Posted September 13, 2006 Posted September 13, 2006 Never tried it as i just love my spoiler far too much to take it off, but i suppose you cant argue with the figures. I guess if you are serious about quarter mile runs then improving the scoobs areodynamics would definately play a major part and be more noticable at higher speeds when the drag on the car becomes greater. I recon aswell you would get better better fuel economy due to the reduced drag, faster car and better fuel economy all round your a winner [] On an areodynamics note i have found little difference when you fold in your wing mirrors, which i was told by a certain some one would assure me a reduction of 0.2s over a quarter mile!! Could be down to the consistency of my driving or the speeds my scoob is capable of at the end of the quarter mile not giving an appretiable drag but i would say for now this Myth is well an truely busted!! []
wrxchris Posted September 13, 2006 Author Posted September 13, 2006 wing mirrors i really cant see making any difference, id say the spoiler did. just what i found, others may have found no difference
