some hesitation on boost?

noticed a few times when flooring it some hesitation on hard accelaration, sort of stop start then ok, any ideas what could be the cause??  car is 99 classic, recent new maf sensor, panel filter, full decatted exhaust downpipe etc, just recently replaced centre section with decat pipe.  could this be a fueling issue?  actuator?  i was toying with the idea of a andy f remap would this help at all?

I had the same symptoms. It turned out to be boost spike causing fuel cut. It would only happen in 4th and 5th gear [8-)]

I was recomended a new Apexi 3 bar map sensor. The car is still in the garage and im offshore so cant comment weither this has fixed the problem or not.
