scoobykev Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Got myself a set of v6 sti type r v-limited struts, so i'll need to get the geometery set up. Anybody know of places in Dundee that can do this? i assume awd and the local dealers (fiskens and eden) can do it? also what price am i lookng at for it? will get my 4 pots recon'd at the same time, any places that can do this as the local factors ain't much help? thanks Kev
jcscoob Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Kev the neerest to you will be Fiskins, they done mine the first time and i was well happy[y] and it cost £47. Plus you get a chance to try it out comming down the B-road[] Its no much fun on a test drive along dock street[] And pass on the brake Q []
jcscoob Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 YES - BUT IS IT. Nicky got her geo done there and the car was never the same again (like the back toe was out) then it randomly through the car out at the back end and smashed it to smitheriens and almost wiped out the WHOLE FAMILY . So for the want of a couple of quid, plus fuel !!
jcscoob Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Dipsy i know that was who done my car the last time, but not the next time []
craig mac Posted August 19, 2006 Posted August 19, 2006 Nipe across to Falkland I came all the way down from ABZ to get then to set mine up....and its awesome Craig
scoobykev Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 cheers guys, forgot about falkland, used to deal with them when i had the cossie.
frank c Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 I went to Target in Perth all the way from Edinburgh and i had to go back again as the car was all over the place. He actually wanted me to go back a third time..I told him to ---- off and demanded my money back.. All together i must have been there for about 6-7 hours.. I eventually found a place in Edinburgh..was there 25 mins and the car was spot on and about half the price....I should have gave him a Slap for wasting my petrol and my time...lol
frank c Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 ps; where did you get the STi v6 set-up mate..I am looking for a set myself cheers Frank
mrs. jc scoob Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 yes you may remember my post on my car steering itself after I had geo done there, then it ended up adorning a dry stane dyke LOL [] P.S Dipsy £30+£25 =£60 also cost of fuel but ultimately its so important this is done correctly or it could cost your life. -------------------------- lol, cant beleive its edited, Dry stane byke !! [:|]
frank c Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 I watched him too and he still managed to balls it up.. and the price he tried to charge me for it rotfpmsl... Never again.
frank c Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 He done same when i was there Dipsy.. He even put the clamp on the steering wheel from through the window which made it off centre. Then he said don't worry about the s/wheel being squint, it should make the geo ok though...WTF..
jcscoob Posted August 20, 2006 Posted August 20, 2006 "I would not take the 05 jdm sti there no way" WTF - And you tell Scoobykev to go and get it set so his car is all over the shop (maybe). Dipsy its a bit different when there are more than just your self to look after, after all kev and his family are a bit more important than an "MY05 JDM STI" !
scoobykev Posted August 20, 2006 Author Posted August 20, 2006 looks like target is out then, i saw mrs jc's car and wasn't keen on the new roof line shape.
