headers noise

just fitted a set of megan headers on my mottor but must say now well peed off,they are unequal but i seem to of lost a bit of noise from the exhaust.thought the car might get a bit louder with these on,is this normal and is it time to go get an afterburner exhaust?

I have a set of megan headers on my STI V3 with a full decat from scoobyworld, I find the unequal length still retains some of the traditional “rumble” but blends into a super bike type noise at higher rpm great sound [], at idle the car is a bit more quite than it was before.

I've got equal length headers.

As above, at idle car is quiet as a mouse.  Once the revs go up she just screams.
