scooby daz Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 hi i got my first scooby 6 weeks ago a lovely black import the wheels are not brill got a new set . the problem is the allen key tipe studs iv got have been split and rounded .ive been to tyre company they wont touch them anyone got any ideas thanks. scooby daz[]

Deano 666 Posted July 20, 2006 Posted July 20, 2006 ive managed 2 get 7 out of 20 loose. trouble is cuz they r alen key sockets th others r just sliping i will try a bigger alen key 2morrow hello mate, before you try the allen key, with a heavy hammer and drift the same size as the nut, try hitting the nut face on, this will free off the rust that is between the threads. also spray with WD40, dont use a allen key ,you need to buy a allen key bit that fits into a socket, and a good size half inch drive breaker bar, try the bigger allen key, if no luck than you will need some heat on the nuts to free them off first. hope this will help you. www.larkins-autoservices.com

scooby daz Posted July 22, 2006 Author Posted July 22, 2006 hi everyone thanks for all your help. got my wheels sorted up essex 2day. it took them 4 hours just to get 5 off got the rest off myself with a bigger alen key. once again thanks.[]
