Finally buying a Turbo Advice needed!!!

Went to see a Scoob on Saturday night and am on the verge of buying it. Does anyone know the car?

 

Aberdeen K reg silver WRX (been facelifted and morettes) all the toys,dump valve ,turbo timer etc,etc.

80k miles £3500 

Couple of things,

Engine changed 20k ago by Wallis Performance but it's an STI red top. Apparently 300 + bhp

Engine management light comes on randomly. Apparently been into Town and County and no faults are showing,

 

Any advice appreciated.

Oh and if it's your car, I'm just checking :-)

get an aa check on the car mate

that way they'll be able to tell what mileage and condition it should be in for that mileage

and can also check up on the cel for you ! hth !

Engine replacement was 2 years ago and had a clutch kit fitted at a cost of  £3200. Another Scooby owner has driven it and I am picking it up tomorrow :-) Will post pics when I get it. Wouldn't mind a space at the RR day just to see what it has. Someone suggested that the CEL may be coming on because its not been re-mapped for the STI engine?
