slo2 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Over the last few weaks not been entirely happy with the way the car has been going but tonight whilst rushing to pick up the kids the cluth started slipping. Hard accelaration up through the gears useing up all the revs changed up into 5th at 4000rpm (100ish) and pushed hard on the accelerator and the engine went up to 6000rpm and the car stayed the same . So possibly only a couple of weaks of gentle driving before a new clutch is required the question is what clutch to get. Car 1998 Classic turbo UK car Use 500 miles a week commuting occasional blasts, intention to use at Knockhill at track days Budget Mid range Preferance Uprated but must be drivable in traffic (Kingston Bridge twice a day) Would probably get greers to fit it as Ive a couple of other niggling faults to get fixed while its on the ramps Any help appreciated Cheers
fai17 Posted May 26, 2006 Posted May 26, 2006 Yip your clutch is goosed m8. As for clutch i would go for a Helix Organic clutch and also get your flywheel skimmed and lighten for best result. Greers will advise the rest
