wedmonds1 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I am sure this has been covered before but i am still amazed that you all have such lovely clean cars at the meets when the weather has been so pants. What cunning tactics do you all have for gettting the car clean in advance and keeping it like that? Assuming that you keep it outside of a garage and drive it regular that is Is it a case of cleaning the car by candle light?
baser999 Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 I know how you feel ......if you too wanna feel like you're under-achieving have a look at scoobytoo's posting yesterday on the car care section under the thread title " here's my attempt at detailing..." Obviously got too much time on his hands - still they'll look the same with M25 crud on 'em after the RBMR in the rain on Saturday lol

wedmonds1 Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 I checked that post.... it is indeed 'sick' to have a car that clean. In fact its almost a perversion! I dont have time when i get in from work... what tactics do you use?
SCOOBYTOO Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 wayne. tbh, once it's clean, which i must admit does take a fews hours a week. it's fairly easy to keep on top of. i do around 12,000 miles a year in it so for people who say i don't use it, it's untrue. it even goes out in the p***ing rain[] invest in a power washer and some good quality cleaning gear, once you have it life will be alot easier. if you need a hand on what products to get and where from drop me a line.
wedmonds1 Posted May 4, 2006 Author Posted May 4, 2006 Well that make me feel alot better knowing that you drive it and still manage to keep it lovely. I had a merc previously and i loved keeping that clean. I would up load some pics but i have no idea how. I will have a go tonight to improve it a little in time for Saturday. You must be paranoid as hell leaving the car anywhere.... i bet you dont take it to Tesco's!
granby Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Quote Oi stop the chatter & get your arse over here[][][][] Well he did eventually and he was late []
SCOOBYTOO Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 no, it was actually just a huge mobile home on the move on the back of a lorry trying to manouver around the lanes to leeds.
baser999 Posted May 5, 2006 Posted May 5, 2006 Right, time to set off to my mates and get the car looking clean for tomorrow..........please don't rain , please don't rain , please don't rain [] This time tomorrow and we'll be on our way [][]
