There is a mixed train of thought on this one depending on the power your running and the fuel demands you have.

Some like the standard filter as it acts like a mini swirl pot, ie hold a reserve if you get fuel surge, some discount this as irrelevant and ineffective.

Personally i run an inline filter in the same position as the standard one. You can pay a fortune for a knackerdooky fandango racing one, I use a seat cupra r one which flows exactly the same as a racing one you can buy from one of those places that sell that stuff

If your running over 550bhp, then you really need something a bit special

I dont think either you nor I need to worry about that though. :(

thanx for advice !!

NOW can i be even cheekier and ask how you have done this ?? ie made the cupra filter work !?? as i thought the in line ones only had two ports one in and one out and if im not mistaken there are three pipes on the scoob one am i wrong ??? cheers mate !

One hole in, one hole out. Im quite sure we could come up with a rude conclusion but its quite easy.

Fit it to the strut with a plastic tie.

My car is a classic. its a dawdle, and on the cupra r filter theres a big arrow showing you the right way.

Pop down and see the Greers they will show you :(

On the passanger side strut tower, it looks like a pot with a bent in and out pipes. the clip is a catch type scenario.
